Two P.O.V:

The panic on Tree and Black Hole's faces morph into one of confusion.

"Wh-what do you mean...?" Black Hole asks helplessly, their cat pawing at their hand.

I sigh, fiddling with my thumbs. "W-well, I'm not exactly from here...either...I uh...I'm..." I stutter, looking around my office anxiously. "I-...I am...uh..."

Black Hole shudders, bringing his cat closer to their chest. The cat purrs, leaning against them. "H-here, do you need a tissue?" I ask, using my powers to bring a tissue box near them. Their eyes widen, "I- Well...I guess that means you're telling the truth...I- I'm just..." They stutter, taking a tissue and wiping their eyes.

Tree places a hand on their shoulder, squeezing gently.

"Can you tell us...a bit about yourself then?" Tree asks, looking at me with a but of skepticism. "Ah yes..." I sigh, folding my hands to stop them from fidgeting.

"Well, I'm from a planet a couple hundred light years away...people there were called *Algebrarians." I explain, bouncing my leg a bit. "We were also allies with a species called the shimmers. They were kind, helped us out."

Tree nods, placing a hand on the cat as well. Who purrs in response.

"Well...eventually, uhm...black holes came, and..." I mutter, gripping my hands together. "They...they killed everyone, and kidnapped us...and-" I sigh, placing my face in my hands to fight my tears.

"They tortured my family, they killed so many of us..." I snap, feeling tears threaten to escape. "My brother four...was able to break us free. Some of us escaped..."

"I don't want to know what happened to the ones who didn't."

An eerie silence envelopes us all, only broken by the slow droning of the clock ticking.

"I'm so sorry..." Black Hole whispers, I look up at them.

They were one of them. They were one of them that killed my family. They are one of those monsters-

No, no not them.

Looking at them now they look anything but hostile. Scars litter their face, maybe they were a victim too...

"Don't be sorry..." I whisper, smiling softly at them. My action slowly drawing tears out of their own eyes. "N-no...y-you know that I'm a...a black hole..."

I nod, "Yes, I was aware when I heard your name." I joke, Tree smiles a bit. But Black Hole doesn't seem to find it amusing.

"I- my kind...h-hurt you so much...and-" They sob, I shake my head. "No...Black Hole you clearly were not apart of that."

"You know how black hole's are. They don't feel shame, they don't feel remorse...they don't feel regret. Clearly with CJ being one of the sweetest kids I've ever met, you're nothing like that." I reassure, placing a gentle hand on their shoulder. They nod, wiping their eyes.

"What's your cats name again?" I ask, trying to take the weight off the conversation. Tree smiles, gently nudging Black Hole to answer. "O-oh! Her name's Juno...she's uh..." They say softly, turning into a whisper.

"Well, she's very adorable..." I smile, gently petting her little head. She purrs in response, curling up into Black Hole's lap.

"A-are you...upset...that my kind hurt yours...?" Black Hole asks, voice wavering. I pause, retracting my hand and leaning back into my chair.

"I am...upset you could say, not at you specifically. It was...horrible...what your kind did. But I'm free now...and it seems you are too." I explain, sighing softly.
