Black Hole P.O.V:

I hold Tree in a tight hug, not wanting to loose them again. They give me small tap on the arm, "Babe? C-can you let go?" They sputter, breathing rapidly.

"Oh yeah-" I say, releasing them. They breath deeply, regaining their footing.

"You have a really strong grip..." They mutter, stretching. I smile, kissing their cheek, "Thanks love..." I say softly, they laugh a bit. Kissing me back, I blush a bit. "You're so pretty..." Tree whispers, playing with my hair.

"Th-thank you..." I whisper back, my tail wrapping around them. They smile, kissing my face again. I hide my head in my hands, embarrassed by the affection. "Y-you're very pretty as well, darling..." I mumble, leaning on them.

"Thank you love..." They say, smiling widely as they play with my hair. I lay my head in their lap, looking up into their eyes.

"I never noticed how blue your eyes were," I comment, staring into them. Tree laughs, "Yeah...my dad's eyes were pretty blue, I think I got it from him." They chuckle, petting my hair. "Your eyes are pretty..." They mumble, staring at me.

I blush, giving a small smile. "Thank you...they are quite odd...being an unnatural color and all..." They smile, "That's what makes them so pretty." They grin, kissing my forehead.

I blush yet again, beaming back at them. A comfortable silence engulfs us, calming the air.

"...what was your dream about?" Tree asks, clearing some of my hair away from my eyes. I shift a little, "Uh...it was..."

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." They say, placing a hand on my face. I give a soft smile, "Thank you..." I mumble, not feeling up to talking about it. Not only would it be difficult, but it would also be very time consuming. It would probably take me two thousand, seven hundred, sixty, three words to tell it.

"What was your family like?" I ask, looking into their eyes some more. They sigh, "Well, you've already met my mother...as well as most of my cousins, Leafy, Grassy, Flower..."

I nod, urging them to continue, "You haven't met Woody, he's a second cousin." They explain, I nod, pretending to know what that means.

"Hmm...Basketball and Robot Flower adopted Grassy when my aunt died..." They say, I frown. "I'm sorry to hear that."

The shake their head, "S'fine, I never really new her."

"...and we don't really walk about Leafy's parents." Tree says after a bit of silence, I nod, silently understanding. "Flower's mom and dad are pretty cool, they don't talk very much now Flower is so successful."

I nod again, "You have a big family," I say. They smile, "I guess I do."

We sit in silence again, I always tend to overlook these small peaceful moments, just me and Tree. They're so kind...I do not deserve this...

"You're staring again," They snicker, I blush. Looking away, "Ah...apologies..." I mutter, feeling that warmth cover my face, they laugh. "It's fine, love, I don't mind..."

I sit, up hugging them from the side. "I love you..." I whisper, hiding in the crook of their neck. They smile, "I love you too..."

I sigh, feeling them lay down. I don't move, simply falling over with them. "What's gotten you so clingy today?" They ask, stroking my hair calmly. "I just miss you..." I whisper, wrapping my arms fully around them.

"What do you mean?" They ask, placing both their hands on my back. "That...nightmare...that I had..." I mumble, just loud enough so they could hear it.

"It...It scared me...I was so alone...I thought I would never see you again..." I admit, feeling Tree's steady breathing. They nod, "Well...you're here now...if you ever want to talk about it you can tell me."

I smile, "Thanks love..." I whisper, they nod. "Anytime..."

"Dads!!"

We both turn to Jr. who is excitedly waving a piece of paper at us. "Look what I made!"

Tree takes the picture, holding it in his hands. "Woah! This is really nice, Jr! Great job!" They say, giving Jr a big hug. I was a pretty amazing drawing.

"You guys can have it! I made it for you!" They smile, hopping over to me and giving me a hug. I hug them back, "Thank you Jr...that's very kind of you."

They laugh a bit more, laying still in my lap. I smile, wrapping my arms around them. "I love you dad..."

"I love you too Jr..." I whisper, they shut their eyes, leaning onto my shoulder. Tree wraps his arm around us as well. Silence engrosses us yet again, but we don't really mind...it was calm. And you don't usually get calm with a Black Hole and a rowdy nine year old.

It was nice...

I wish we could stay like this forever...

I love them both...
