21 - COMING HOME

I spent the 2 remaining days of Stephen's absence buying baby clothes, ordering things, and arranging them. I've already decided that sunshine's room will be gray with yellow and white accents and his/her things are already almost complete. I'm just waiting for the arrival of some things I've ordered and the room just needs to be painted and viola! My nursery is done. I am so excited.

Decorating the nursery sure is tiring and it takes a lot of effort and concentration. By the third day, my feet are already swollen like crazy from walking around the house and I've managed to distract myself from thinking why Stephen is not answering my calls. Sigh. Well, I guess I'll find out why when he arrives home.

I'm currently at the airport, waiting for his plane to land. Based from what I've heard, the pilot is just waiting for clearance for the plane to land. I brought Jo with me because I'm too lazy to drive and my feet hurts.

"Miss would you like to sit there for a while? I'll just call you when Mr. Portman is here." Jo said after noticing my discomfort with my ankles.

I sighed in relief. Thank god.

"Okay. Thanks Jo." I gave him a huge smile and waddled towards the empty seats. When my butt touched the seat, I almost moaned in relief, because it really hurts. Good thing I restrained myself. That would be so freaking embarrassing.

"Sunshine, you're giving mommy a really hard time." I said quietly while caressing my baby bump.

We waited for almost 10 minutes before I heard an announcement saying that Stephen's plane has landed. Finally. I immediately stood up and resumed my previous position beside Jo. I scanned the faces of the persons walking out, looking for warm, brown eyes. And finally, I saw him.

Seeing him again after three days is like a breath of fresh air. I felt so happy and giddy, and all my doubts disappeared the moment I saw his face. Sunshine, daddy's finally here.

Stephen spotted us among the crowd of waiting people and his face immediately broke out into a breath taking smile. He quickened his pace and when he finally reached us, he immediately wrapped his arms around me and crushed his lips to mine.

Actually, I hate PDA. People who do PDA holds no self respect whatsoever. They let others see them during intimate moments with their lovers and it disgusts me. I mean, I'm okay with holding hands, hugs, a peck on the lips or cheeks but a full out make out session in public is really wrong in my eyes.

But right now, I can't be bothered to give a fuck about my principles regarding PDA. I know the way Stephen is kissing me is beyond what I deem to be appropriate but right now, I really don't care.

A clearing throat bought an end to our almost make out session.

Stephen and I broke apart, but he didn't completely remove his arms from me. A heavy arm rested on my waist and guided towards him until I was practically glued to Stephen's side. Not that I'm complaining. It was only then that I saw Carl and Jo looking at us with amused expressions on their faces. I internally groaned and I felt my face burst into flames.

"Well, I can see that you really missed each other." Carl teased and Stephen chuckled in response.

"What can I say?  I haven't seen my beautiful wife in three days, Carl. I have to make up for lost time." Stephen replied before pressing a kiss on my temple.

Carl only shook his head.

"Do you know Audrey, that this man didn't stop whining and bitching about being so far away from you during our entire trip? The only time he shuts up is when he's asleep or when he's signing books. Literally. He doesn't stop talking about you even when he's in the shower!" Carl ranted.
