Everyone in the room fell silent and couldn't believe what they had just heard. One of the great and glorious countries attacked their possessions. 'The Ventura Dynasty'

"What did you say?" King Albert said, still unable to believe it.

The Messenger replied, "The Ventura Dynasty's trading group did the ambush."

Prince Joseph loses all control of his emotions and stands up, making his way to the hall's exit door. He demands justice for his sister, who was nearly killed because of them, and he cannot allow anyone to mistreat his kingdom or let this atrocity go unpunished.

Before Prince Joseph could get out of his chair, the king held his arm and said, "Son, don't do anything rash; you have to listen to everything he has to say first."

Prince Joseph replied, "How can you be so calm, father? They almost killed our sister."

"CALM DOWN!!!" the king shouted, and everyone became silent.

He breathed out to ease his anger and added, "I know how you feel right now, but we have got to let it be. Just for this time. We will deal with them after we finish terminating the monsters."

"They tried to rob and attack your daughter. She almost got killed because of them! And now you tell me to be calm! We need impartiality for our sister's father!" Prince Joseph said in a serious tone.

"I know, son. I know very well, but for now, we must clarify and see it for ourselves. We must ask the victim before asking the suspect; remember this. For now, we need to focus on subjugating the monsters. We must solve the problem of our kingdom before we proceed and find justice for Scarlett," the King said in a serious manner.

"But Father," Prince Joseph said in a low voice.

"Joseph, sailing in a single boat to the two rivers is an impossible task to do," King Albert said, adding, "Son, understand the situation first before doing anything rash; think before you move. Always remember 'these' Joseph." King Albert said in a serious tone.

The king spoke again, "We will first subjugate the monsters and ensure the safety of our villagers. We will fix the issue later regarding the trading guild's ambushed carriages and about Princess Scarlett's sudden incident," and added, "If there's nothing more to discuss, we can end it here. All of you dismiss."

The commanders and generals bowed down to the king and left the hall one by one. The three princes were about to leave when they were called by their father.

"My son Khyl, Jerome, and Joseph, the three of you should know what to do right now about your sister," said King Albert.

"What do you mean by that, father?" Jerome asked.

Joseph replied, "It means we shouldn't let Scarlett go outside the castle."

"I see. I think I get it," Jerome replied, and he nodded in understanding.

"She seems a little hashed out by this mode of protection, but we have to do everything in our power to keep her safe," Khyl said seriously.

King Albert said, "I hope you understand the situation with your sister. Please protect her at all costs."

Joseph replied, "Don't worry, father. We will protect our sister," with a brave expression.

And the three princes walked away, as did the king and queen.

The night passed by. Scarlett woke up early in the morning, and she got out of bed. She headed to the curtains, pulled back the curtains, and opened the windows. After opening the windows, the sun shone on her white skin, and the breeze touched her and flowed through her white and beautiful hair. She smiles at the beautiful view of the kingdom and hopes to explore it in the future.

Scarlett is King Albert's fourth daughter. She is the little queen of the kingdom; they confine her to the castle and lavish such lavish attention upon her that she resembles a pampered child. Everything they provide for her is done solely to satisfy her needs. Scarlett is sixteen years old, stunning and beautiful, with purple eyes and silvery white hair. She resembles her older brother but with a more feminine appearance. She is vivacious, giving, sweet, kind, and open-minded. She appreciates reading books, sweets, and art. She and Prince Jerome spent most of their time reading in libraries. Scarlett and Prince Joseph seem to have similar vibes.

Moments later, someone knocks on her door.

"Who's there?" said the princess.

No one answered on the other side of the door. So the princess took a peek at her door viewer. She was in shock, and tears dropped in her eyes as she opened the door slowly.

When the door was opened, her mother, Queen Anne, was revealed on her doorstep. She quickly gave her a hug, and so did the queen.

"I can't sleep thinking of you all night, Scarlett," said Queen Anne in a worried state.

Princess Scarlett replied, "I was so scared. I was very scared, mom. I saw it with my own eyes. They were..." while shaking.

Queen Anne cut her and said, "Hush, don't cry now. It was your mom's fault for allowing you to go outside the castle." She wiped her tears and said, "I'm sorry, Scarlett, for putting you in danger. It was all my fault to begin with. I allowed you to go out without securing your safety. I was too confident in the guards that the trading guild hired," in a sincere tone.

The most compassionate person is Queen Anne. Her sincere and caring attitude has earned her great respect both inside and outside the kingdom. She is forty-five, with purple eyes and white-silver hair. Even though she is thin, her skin and face are stunning. Despite being the queen, she enjoys helping the maidservants in the kitchen and cooking. Being the only daughter in her family, she enjoys searching for her kids and her relatives, especially Princess Scarlett.

"Mother, it was not your fault. It was my fault that everyone got killed. If only my prepared trades were good, none of this would have happened," Princess Scarlett said in disappointment.

"Hush, you are safe now. People have sacrificed their lives for you to live, and so this will become your lesson if one day... one day you will become a queen, just like your mother," the queen laughs and continues, "If one day you will become a queen, you will succeed in the lives of many people. They will either die or live on your orders. So, right now, you must take this to heart and be better the next time you go."

The princess nods as she understands her mother's words. Then the two of them hugged each other, and a few seconds later they let go.

Queen Anne said, "I have to go now, my princess. I have a conference to attend."

Princess Scarlett replied, "I understand." The princess thought for a few seconds and asked, "Does father know about this?" in a nervous voice.

The Queen sighed and said, "He was the first man to know about the incident without him informing us. We might not know what was going to happen to you, my princess. Don't worry, I'll tell him."

"I'll be the one to tell him, mother. Don't worry. It's my fault, and it's my duty to tell Father the truth," the Princess said.

The queen is impressed and proud of her daughter Scarlett, as she is beginning to be a fine princess.

"Alright, I still have a conference to attend. I'll see you around Scarlett," Queen Anne said, giving her a tight hug and saying, "I'm sorry again, princess," before she walked away.

The princess wiped her tears and returned to her room. She took a warm bath and dressed. After that, she got out of her room and took a walk in the castle.
