Subhana and Dominik walked on the campus and took in the clear sky and the faint chill.

"What a cute little campus." Subhana took it the scenes.

"Almost from a fairy tale. I wonder if there's any princesses that need saving."

Subhana punched him in the shoulder.

"You're not here to woo every girl. Remember, we're not here forever. We're on a mission."

"Shush, you're no fun."

Subhana rolled her eyes and she and Dominik walked in the main lecture hall, wearing the same uniform as everybody else, making them blend in.

At the bottom of the grand staircase, they looked at each other.

"Do you understand the plan?" Dominik asked seriously.

"Yes. Don't draw any attention to yourself."

"I'll try." He smirked.

They walked up together and at the top, Subhana split to the left and Dominik went to the right. They Orb of The Academy was only accessible via a certain route and it involved a few interesting turns. While the dean's office involved a walk down one way but truly leading to the back of the academy.

Dominik stopped at the double doors and took a deep breath. He took out his wand and froze The Dean in his place behind the door. Then when he knew it was safe, he busted open the doors and pointed his wand.

"The sphere had lied. He is not Nikolai. He is I, Dominik of The Night."

Magic omitted from his wand and pierced his head. It worked. Dominik smirked and left and when he knew it had gone to plan, he snapped his fingers and walked away.

Serena was in her seat, reading a book of dark literature when a lady that she noticed to be the secretary was talking to the professor. The lady left and Serena watched the professor come up to her seat.

"You have been summoned by The Dean. I must express my sinceriest apologies in advance to you. This... hasn't happened since the beginning of time."

"What happened? What's going on?"

The professor shook his head.

"I cannot tell you. You must go."

Serena got up and worried. This was all so ominous and she left, going to The Dean's office in a little bit of a hurry. What could have happened? She felt her nerves freeze and fray. Was everything ok?

She opened the doors and saw The Dean at his desk with Nikolai sitting at one of the chairs. Shyly, she went to the other seat and sat down.

"This.... hasn't happened. Only one time." The Dean had his hands folded and was looking down.

Serena and Nikolai gave each other a confused glance before they saw The Dean regain his composure. When they looked into his eyes, they noticed his eyes were unatrually white, with black irises.

"To have a mishap like this is quite unsettling. I deeply apologize for putting both of you through this trouble. However, I must speak about this issue."

The Dean continued. "Serena, Nikolai is not your true soulmate. There was an error in the calculations."

Serena and Nikolai both had a wide expression on their face.

"That can't be right..." Serena whispered.

"It's not."

"But..."

"Serena. I know that it's always been you. The sphere would never lie!"

The Dean's body language and tone started to grow more aggressive.

"Says the boy that manipulated the sphere for his own favor!"

"I never did anything! You have to listen to me!"

"Say all you want, it could never cover what you've done! Guards!"

Guards appeared from all doors, with one keeping her head down being Subhana.

"Do you know how much of a crime foraging your soulmate is? You're setting yourself up for execution." The Dean scowled.

"I didn't! You have to believe me!"

The Dean stayed silent.

"Take him away."

All of the guards surrounded him until he got up.

"I'll take care of him." Subhana stepped in front of all the guards and took Nikolai away. Nikolai's eyes looked back at Serena, giving her a looked that begged "I'm innocent".

"Nikolai, no. Nikolai..." Serena watched him leave.

Serena barely got through the rest of the day when she stopped at a door in her dorm, blue rose petals scattered underneath her feet. Seeing blue roses at a time like this made her heart shatter even more into pieces. At a time like this, romance was dead in her heart, and she wasn't with Nikolai in his arms.

It was odd though, this room was a tearoom. Tearooms are a surpriengly unlikely place to do a soulmate confession due to myths of strange occurances happening. But, she needed some herbal tea to help her sleep. She opened the door.

Blue roses lined up all of the room, in fact the blue roses were everywhere. She stepped in a pile and the royal blue shade decorated the room. In the middle of the room, there was a man there with a large smile and a sleek suit meant for a prince.

"My love!" He ran up to her and hugged her with the largest bouquet of blue roses she had ever seen, roses were piling out of the bouquets wrapping.

"I..."

"I tried to get here as soon as I could, but there was a war in Ensom. Every day I thought about you and when the war ended, I wanted to come here and give you everything that you ever wanted!"

"Who are you?"

"Right." He backed away and looked into her eyes. "My name is Dominik. Dominik Tirando the Seventh, the son of an elite legion of wizards. I've come for you!"

"But..."

"Yes, I heard about what had happened to that boy. He wasn't deserving of you as much as I am. I will fill the void of him in your heart."

He took her hand and kissed it.

"To see you in person is a marvelous sight, my dear. I've been longing for the day when we would finally meet again! We do have to catch up on everything, and I will celebrate our love and reunion for everybody to see!"

"That would not be nessecary...."

"But it is! We shall celebrate for all the heavens to see! After all, being the soulmate of an angel is the greatest blessing for a human! And, a wonderful sight for an angel. To take a human to give them immortality, what could be better than that?"

"I.."

He scooped her up and kisses her fast and hard. He had his eyes closed, but she had hers open the entire time.
