"It should've been you. You're the reason she's gone, Hyunjin."

Hyunjin slowly crept backwards, trembling with fear as he watched his father trudge towards him. His collared shirt was wrinkled and a stench of alcohol reeked from his body. Hyunjin felt himself tear up and blink back tears as he few more afraid of his father inching closer to him.

"Today could have been avoided if you weren't such a fucking idiot. She would still be alive if it weren't for your ignorance." The man bellowed and shoved the young boy harshly, making him hit his back on the wall. He yelled at the pain and his tears began to fall, whimpers leaving his lips in fear.

"Papa.. please, I'm sorry." He pleaded, only to have his collar harshly gripped and pulled. His father bent down to his short level and roughly pushed him against the wall again, harder than the first. Hyunjin sobbed in his fathers grasp. He looked into his eyes that matched his own and grew even more terrified. They showed zero sympathy or love in them. This was the man he once admired, the one he aspired to be like when he grew up. Hardworking, kind, funny, everything Hyunjin wanted to become. The man in front of him in this moment was not the father he's known to live his whole life. This was someone full of hatred. He cried harder at the sight of his fathers dark eyes.

"You broke our family. I am never going to be happy again, because of you." He threw Hyunjin to the ground, making him slam his own head onto the ground and grow unconscious.

"I'm so sorry about earlier. I was drunk and angry. Please forgive me, Hyunjin, my sweet boy." The man pleaded while holding his sons hand who was sitting up in his bed, barely regaining consciousness.

He was trembling in fear, recalling his memories from before he passed out. He was still in a state of shock, unable to respond.

"Are you angry with me, Hyunjin?" His father spoke in a worried tone, desperate to receive his son's forgiveness of his actions. The young boy slowly looked up into his fathers eyes and slowly shook his head. His father sighed with relief and put his forehead to Hyunjin's hand.

"Thank you, Hyunjin. Thank you for forgiving me. I promise, it won't happen ever again." He nearly cried on the eleven-year-olds knuckles. Hyunjin trusted his words in that moment. He knew that grief would make people act in ways they usually wouldn't.

Surely, this was a one-time thing only, right?

"Stop crying! You have no one to blame but yourself! Crying over your own actions...

How pathetic."

The memories flooded his brain like a tidal wave.

"Choi Yeonjun. And you?"

Felix smiled softly as he took the taller boy's hand in his own to shake. He was beginning to feel better already.

"Felix. Felix Lee." He gave Yeonjun a warm smile, making him reciprocate the expression. He was a handsome young man— black mullet, tall in height, lean but muscular, pretty lips; he was tainted like a book's love interest. He had a seemingly artistic fashion sense. With a pair of cuffed, brown corduroys, cream colored shirt with line art on it, brown sneakers, and an autumn-colored flannel, he definitely had an artistic hobby of some sort. Felix was easily interested in talking to this boy more. He had wondered why he's never seen him before.
