SaturdayWith graduation approaching and winter vacation over, students begin preparing for final exams and really figure out what they're gonna do after high school. This also meant whatever school functions or exhibits were planned could also be seen in sight.
"It would mean a lot to me if you guys went." Hyunjin confessed, slightly timidly.
"Of course we'll go, Hyunjin. If it's important to you, it's important to us." Felix warmly said with a smile and the other two nodded.
"Really?" Hyunjin's eyes lit up with joy at his friends' response.
The four of them were currently on a double date in celebration of senior exams finally being over. They had spent all Saturday at arcades, shopping and now they stopped for dinner— recapping their day and talking about their spring and summer plans
"Of course, something as big as this is something we can't miss. Besides, no one is busy on Mondays." Minho reassured with his arm wrapped over Jisung's shoulders as they sat across from the other couple.
Felix squeezed Hyunjin's hand as another form of reassurance and the latter smiled."Besides, we'd love to see your art. You've worked hard on your pieces, so we have to go in support of that." Jisung added.
Hyunjin felt a warm feeling spread throughout him when he realized his closest friends' support for him. This art exhibit was a big deal for him and he wanted nothing more than for his boyfriend and friends to see it. It was a section of his works only that people would be allowed to see and even auction for. He was selected by the districts art director as one of the best artists in the school, resulting in his spot for this exhibit.
"So you're basically putting all of your art up for sale?" Minho asked.
"All except one. One of them I'm just presenting to everyone there and some big name art directors from around the region. Mrs. Choi said it was my best work, so I chose to keep it." Hyunjin explained, making everyone else all the more excited.
"What's the painting?" Jisung asked out of curiosity, to which Hyunjin smirked proudly.
"It's a surprise."
"Come on! Just tell us!" Felix whined and Hyunjin just shook his head with a giggle. He couldn't wait for them to see this painting. More specifically, one of them.
After some time had passed and they finished up their meals, it was starting to get dark outside, resulting in their choice to pay and leave the restaurant. They said their goodbyes and went on their ways.
"Since it's Saturday, wanna spend the night at mine?"
Felix offered as they settled onto the motorbike and Hyunjin beamed."Do I?" He exclaimed, clearly agreeing and handing Felix the big helmet before practically speeding off to his house.
Once they made it, they quietly crept into the house quietly, knowing that Hyunjin's father was likely asleep. Once they crept in and closed the door, thinking they successfully entered, a deep voice was heard from the kitchen.
"Where were you, Hyunjin?" The voice was stern and powerful, sending chills down Felix's spine out of nerve and fear. Hyunjin tightened his grip on Felix's hand before responding.
