Friday"Hey, Shortcake."
Felix turned around with a small smile on his face. His friends had just walked off and Hyunjin was approaching where they would usually meet before their odd distance. Hyunjin walked with beaming eyes and a smug grin as he made his way to the shorter brunette.
"Hi, Hyunjin." He smiled cheekily and closed his locker while holding a few books.
"What do you say we go out tonight?" Hyunjin suggested and Felix playfully scoffed. "We have to be somewhere tonight, dumbass."
"Duh. I mean after, dummy." Hyunjin chuckled and ruffled Felix's hair slightly, making him straighten it back out immediately.
"I'm sure we could make that work." The younger smiled as they continued walking to their designated classes. Chatting about anything and everything, a voice interrupted them both.
"Felix! Hey!"
Felix looked to his left and saw his newly acquainted friend with black spectacles making his way towards the pair. Hyunjin's playful grin nearly dropped entirely when he saw the tall male practically beaming at the sight of Felix.
"Morning, Yeonjun!" Felix greeted cheerily as Yeonjun invited himself to walk with the boy, mainly focusing on him and disregarding Hyunjin. The raven's blood boiled highly at the sight of someone he's known for years talking to the boy that's been on his mind too often.
"Hi, Hyunjin." Yeonjun timidly greeted with a small smile.
"Hey, Yeonjun." Hyunjin spoke bitterly without showing any sort of interest in the tall boy.
"You two know each other?" Felix looked back and forth between the two, sensing an odd atmosphere.
"Yeah we go way b—"
"Old history." Hyunjin spoke up harshly, confusing Felix. What was the sudden tone shift for? The air went awkwardly quiet for a minute, making Felix feel uneasy. He was confused as to why Hyunjin so suddenly started acting oddly.
"Would you like to hang out after school today, Lix?" Yeonjun broke the heavy silence. Hyunjin shot a loathing side eye to the clueless male, awaiting Felix's response.
"Maybe next week? I'm hanging out with Hyunjin tonight." The younger responded and Hyunjin couldn't help but let out a sly smirk, knowing he got to him first. He wanted it to stay that way.
He wanted to be the first in line.
"Oh, well then I'll text you next week, yeah?" Felix nodded and Yeonjun left to go to his classroom, making Hyunjin switch back to his previous demeanor. However, he then realized what Yeonjun implied.
"You have his number?"
"Yeah? We're friends, and he asked me for mine." Felix responded and Hyunjin nodded, staying quiet. He couldn't deny the extreme jealousy he was feeling in that moment. He felt his mind race in envy that this sudden new person already had Felix's phone number and he didn't.
"Do you want my phone number?" The Raven timidly and hesitantly asked, avoiding Felix's eyes. He felt embarrassed by being the one to ask for someone else's mobile number. His cheeks turned pink and his eyes wandered as Felix giggled at his cute jealousy.
