When Mycah, Leslie, and Sage arrived back in Leslie's dorm room, Tomi was trying to make a conversation with Nicolas.
Leslie froze in her tracks upon seeing her toddler, bouncing and talking to Nicolas. She felt her blood freeze as her red eyes grew wide. “T-Tomi…”
Tsvetomir looked past Nico and waved at Leslie. “Hi, Mama! Glad you're back.” The little boy ran over to his mother and then wrapped his small arms around her leg, attempting to hug her.
Leslie kneeled down a little, placing her hand on Tomi's back and patting it.
Nicolas turned around to face Leslie, Tomi, Mycah, and Sage. “You have a son?” He asked Leslie.
Leslie sighed. “Yeah. This is my son…” She exhaled. “Tsvetomir.”
“But I prefer Tomi,” the toddler said.
Nico smiled faintly at Tomi before looking up to Mycah, Leslie, and Sage. “So… Did you find out your demons you have to be binded to?”
Mycah nodded. “Hell yeah we did. We had to break into Iris's quarters.”
“I… hope you guys got good ones,” Nicolas said.
Tomi ran back over to the other young boy. “Do you want to play with me, Nico?”
Nicolas looked away from Tomi, up to Tomi's mother as if he wanted permission to play a game with her son.
Leslie nodded. “Go ahead, Nico. Tomi needs a friend anyway.”
“Okay!” Nicolas sounded excited by that response. He looked back over to Tsvetomir. “What do you want to play?”
“Ninjas!” The three-year-old boy said before running off.
Nicolas giggled before running off to play with Tomi.
Leslie just stood, staring off in the direction that the children had ran off in. Tomi's got someone to play with now… Her expression was gentle as she watched the young boys play their game, giggling and appearing to have a lot of fun. Leslie could practically feel her heart melting at that sight.
Leslie smiled softly. Tomi's really seeming to have fun… Leslie sighed softly to herself as she thought about Tomi's earlier request. He really does need a little brother, huh?, she pondered to herself.
Leslie looked back over to Sage and Mycah who were standing behind her, conversing with one another. “So… What now?”
“Well, I was going to check out this Dylan Thao person… See if they have any sort of online presence,” Mycah explained. “I might take a look for Sage's as well.”
Leslie thought for a moment. “You know… That's not exactly a bad idea.”
“I know,” Mycah responded. “That way we can see what we're working with. …We can be better prepared.”
Leslie went to sit on her bed as she pulled out her laptop.
Mycah and Sage both sat down at the table.
Mycah hummed to himself as he continued to work on his phone.
After a couple of minutes, Mycah shouted, “Got it!”
Both Sage and Leslie looked up and over to Mycah and unison.
“You did?” Sage asked.
Mycah nodded. He flipped his phone over so Sage could see. “Dylan Thao,” Mycah said. “I found his Insta.”
“Ooh… He's pretty,” Sage commented as they leaned forward a little. They looked back up at Mycah and away from the phone. “How do you know that's the right guy?”
