Once Sage and Mycah had left and finished their visit, it was past two in the morning; but yet still, the storm outside raged on—-thunder echoing loudly outside the old, stone towers of Haynes Academy.
Exhausted, Leslie made her way over to her bed and flopped backwards onto it. In a few weeks… I'll be in my own personal hell, the witch began to think as her mind traveled back to the idea of the binding rituals.
Leslie rubbed her red eyes, tiredly as she yawned.
I might as well start a countdown to when I'm going to be fucked over for all eternity, she thought to herself.
Rain continued to trickle down the windows outside.
Lightning struck the ground near the tower, lighting up the dark room for the briefest moment before ceasing to be.
Leslie sighed as she sat up again, blowing out the candle near her bed before untying and taking her high-heeled boots off. She tossed the boots aside before laying down on the bed again and pulling the covers up over her.
If I'm gonna be condemned to hell in the next few weeks, I might as well get enough sleep for it. Leslie yawned again as she nuzzled her head against her fluffy pillow.
The young witch closed her eyes and began to drift off to sleep.

Leslie turned in her sleep, only to feel something tapping on her shoulder—-or rather someone. She blinked her red eyes open, yawning. Huh. Weird, she began to think before rubbing her eyes and sitting up.
The eighteen-year-old witch looked to the side to see who was trying to wake her.
Standing by the bed, teddy bear in hand, shaking quite a bit was Tsvetomir. "Mama…" the little boy began to call, his voice edged with terror.
"Tomi…" Leslie began to call out through the dark. "Baby, what's wrong?" She then asked her toddler son.
Tomi pointed to the window which seemed to be a gateway to showcase that the storm still raged on outside. "Scary, Mama… Scary."
"You think the storm's scary?" Leslie asked Tomi, her expression softening as she pitied the little boy.
He nodded. "Mhm."
Leslie reached out, stroking Tsvetomir's soft, brown hair. "Oh, my poor little boy…"
Tomi continued to tremble at the sounds of the heavy rains and winds as well as the thunder.
Leslie reached forward, picking the toddler up and putting him on the other side of her in the bed. "Lay down, bud. You're sleeping in Mama's bed tonight, okay?"
"'Kay," Tomi replied as he laid down beside Leslie, holding his stuffed bear close to his chest.
Lightning illuminated the room once more for the briefest second as Leslie laid down once more.
The three-year-old boy whimpered as thunder crackled right outside the window.
"Come here, baby," Leslie began to say, gently to the little boy. "Come to Mama…"
Tomi scooched closer to his mother, burying his head in her chest, crying a little.
"It's okay, Tomi. I've got you… You're safe. I'll protect you, no matter what. I promise," Leslie whispered to the toddler as she stroked his hair once more. "Shh…"
Leslie wrapped an arm around her son, holding him close. I won't let anything or anyone hurt you, Tomi, she thought to herself as she continued to try to comfort her little boy.
Leslie leaned down a little, placing a kiss on the top of Tomi's head. "You're okay… I've got you," she repeated to the toddler once more in an attempt to soothe him and his fears.
Finally, after ten minutes, Tomi started to calm down.
"There you go, bud…" Leslie responded. "You're okay… Just like I said you would be. I'd never let anything hurt you."
Tomi nuzzled closer to his mother.
"The storm's just a natural process, bud," Leslie began to try to explain to her toddler. She thought for a bit before trying to word her explanation in a way that would satisfy a three-year-old. "You know how you get thirsty sometimes and you end up getting juice?"
Tomi nodded. "Yeah."
"Well," Leslie continued on with her explanation. "You see… sometimes the earth gets thirsty too."
"Really?" The little boy asked his mother for confirmation of that statement.
Leslie nodded. "Yep, really." She sucked in a breath. "The earth and plants get thirsty so they need water… But there's no cup big enough to carry all of the water they need."
"So it rains?" The little boy then asked.
"Yep, it rains," Leslie replied. She ruffled the little boy's hair. "You're such a smart boy, Tomi."
The little boy giggled.
"And you're so fucking adorable!" She added on.
Tomi giggled once more.
"Don't repeat that word," Leslie said, quickly to the little boy.
Thunder rumbled once again overhead and Tomi asked, "And what about that?"
Leslie inhaled. "Well… Lightning and thunder are needed too, bud."
"Why?" He asked.
"Well… Lightning wards off anyone trying to take the water that the earth needs… And that big scary noise? That's thunder. It's a warning that the earth's not done drinking yet." Leslie knew this wasn't exactly the case but she hoped that the explanation would make Tsvetomir feel better.
"Oh," the little boy whispered. "Why doesn't it just rain juice then?"
"That's because the earth doesn't like juice like little ones do… It likes water," Leslie replied. "It needs water so the plants can grow big and strong. Ever see those big trees?"
Tomi nodded.
"Well, if it wasn't for rain, those trees would never grow so tall," Leslie said.
Then Tomi whispered, innocently, "Is that why it doesn't rain choccy milk?"
Leslie laughed faintly to herself, under her breath. "Yes, bud. That's why it doesn't rain chocolate milk."
Tomi yawned.
"Sounds like it's time for a little boy to go to bed," Leslie said as she pulled the covers over both her and her toddler son.
"Night, night, Mama," Tomi whispered as he closed his eyes.
"Goodnight, little one." Leslie smiled faintly. "Sleep tight."
"Love you," Tomi whispered to his mother.
Leslie smiled bigger before leaning in and kissing Tomi's forehead. "I love you too," she whispered as she closed her eyes, finding herself drifting off to sleep too.
