Kara exhaled, heavily. Dammit. Did you really just say that shit to her?, she began to question herself as she saw Leslie leave the room. You could be a whole hell of a lot nicer to her, you know… You barely know this girl… She could be going through a lot. Kara… Be kind. Kara sighed, slowly.

Dylan moved forward a little, letting his gaze fall upon Kara's—-he continued to hold Greyson in his arms. “You okay?” He asked his friend when she fell silent—-he almost seemed a bit concerned for her.

Kara exhaled yet again before mumbling, “Besides mentally beating myself up over what I just said to her? Yeah… Just peachy.” Kara's orange gaze glided away from Dylan, looking at her arm and the words carved into it once more. So, this is my eternity now? …My reality. I'm a pet? She closed her eyes for a moment. Be nice to her… You might as well be in your own personal hell, but so you can treat her with more respect. She opened her amber eyes once more.

Sounds of tiny footsteps echoed against the stone floor as Nicolas tried to leave the room he currently resided in.

“No,” Tomi whispered to his friend, wrapping his tiny fingers around Nico's arm. “My mama told us to stay back here…” His voice softened more. “There could be someone evil in here, Nico.”

Nicolas pulled himself out of Tomi's grasp. “It's okay, Tomi. I'll be fine.” Nicolas headed out of the room, despite Tsvetomir's protests.

“Nico!” Tomi hissed; soon after though, the little boy covered his mouth with his own hand, thinking that he had been ‘too loud' and whoever was in the dorm room at that very moment had heard him.

Nicolas pushed forward, through the small hallway and into the room closest to the front door. He froze when he saw Dylan and his older half-sister. “K-Kara?” He stammered. I knew she was supposed to be binded to Leslie but seeing her here is a whole nother experience, the eight-year-old boy thought to himself as he slowly inched forward through the room.

Kara's expression softened when she saw her younger brother. “Nico.” She moved forward quickly, kneeling in front of the young boy. Soon, she wrapped her younger brother into a tight embrace of which Nico graciously accepted. “I missed you,” she whispered to Nico as she pulled backwards.

“How's your head?” Nicolas asked Kara, curiously. “Leslie and her friends told me that you hit your head really hard after missing a jump at the rink.”

Kara sighed—-she still tried to fake a smile for her younger brother despite the horrible pain she was in. “They said I fractured my skull somewhat. But,” she began to say. “...I'll be fine. I'm sure of it.”

Dylan then proceeded to set Greyson on the ground before wandering over to Kara and Nicolas. “Hey, Nico… You know, we were just about to launch a full-scale investigation on your disappearance.”

“How's Mom?” Nicolas then asked Kara, curiously.

“She's at work… But, she's fine… Maybe just a bit bored,” Kara replied.

Nicolas added, “What about Bethany and Gaël?”

Kara answered, “They went back to Caesar Falls already.”

“Already? Really?” Nicolas began to respond. “...and I didn't even get to say goodbye.”

“That's what I thought,” Dylan quipped as he rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet.

“You're not too overly hurt, are you, Nico?” Kara asked her younger brother, sounding concerned for his safety. “It looked like those witches taking you was brutal—-there was blood and glass everywhere.”
