When Kara finally slipped into a more aware state, she sat up, slowly and blinked her eyes in disbelief at Leslie's prior actions. “D-Did… D-Did you just kiss me?”
Leslie bit her lip almost immediately, freezing in her place as her hands pressed down against the stone ground on either side of Kara's legs. Shit. I did do that, didn't I? What the hell am I supposed to do now? Confess? Confess I kissed her and confess I have feelings for her? Leslie blinked her red eyes a few times more. No. I couldn't do that, could I? …I mean, she's my demon. I can't be in love with her. Just deny it. Deny it all and everything will turn out okay. What Kara doesn't know won't hurt her. And besides, Leslie's mind began to ring out. …This isn't permanent. All of these bullshit feelings? They'll go away. Just like that. All I have to do is hang on until those feelings cease to be. Easy.
Kara, whose face was flushed red with blush, awkwardly sat, awaiting Leslie's response; her arms were now stretched backwards—-her hands planted on the ground for support since her vision wasn't quite done swimming yet. Is she biting her lip?, Kara began to ask herself, seemingly not able to look away from the witch. She literally told me not to do that, but yet… She's doing it now? Unfair.
Kara finally was able to exhale deeper as her body slowly recovered from the devastating seizure she had just endured a few moments ago. Is she tongue-tied as well?, Kara then pondered. Why? Is she nervous about what just happened? Did my seizure make her uncomfortable? I know in the past when I've had a seizure in public, people have been made very uncomfortable by it… And I'd have to apologize every single time for it. Kara mentally groaned.
So, she's frozen, the demon thought to herself. And maybe my seizure's the root of it. Should I apologize? Yeah… I think I will. Kara took a deep breath and then tried to wet her lips despite her mouth being completely and utterly dry. “Hey…” The demon's voice was surprisingly very weak and soft. I guess I still don't have all of my energy back yet, Kara thought. I'm not surprised.
Leslie snapped out of her daze when she heard Kara speak softly. “Y-Yeah?” She's gonna ask me if I have feelings for her, isn't she?, the witch fretted. Her heart skipped a beat. Calm down. It's not like you actually have a crush on her or anything… So, there's no confession needed, really.
“I…” The words felt like they were caught in Kara's throat. “I-I'm sorry.”
“For what?” Leslie's voice quieted to match the volume of Kara's.
Everything, Kara's mind echoed; she so desperately wanted to say that one word to Leslie, but she couldn't bring herself to. “The seizure.”
Leslie froze again. “The seizure?” She seemed taken aback. “Why?”
“It was an inconvenience to you… I know it was,” Kara replied, her muscles still sore from the spasms. “So… I'm sorry.”
“Kara,” Leslie began to respond, leaning in a little closer. “You really don't have to apologize for that.”
“I don't?” Kara seemed a little confused. “Most of the time people want me to… They say it made them uncomfortable.”
“Well,” Leslie started to say. “You didn't make me uncomfortable. You're okay. I promise.”
Kara slowly breathed a sigh of relief before her mind reverted back to the earlier topic of discussion: the kiss. “So… What was that earlier?”
“Oh. Nothing,” Leslie responded rather quickly.
“You kissed me,” Kara said in response.
Leslie shook her head. “No, I didn't.”
Kara slightly raised an eyebrow. “You didn't?”
“Nope,” the witch insisted. “I'd remember if I did.” Leslie stood, offering her hand out to Kara.
Kara hesitated before taking it, being helped back up into a standing position.
Leslie led Kara back to the chair and having her sit down. “Now. Rest. That seizure probably took a lot out of you.”
“It did,” Kara said, leaning her head against the back of the chair.
“Don't hesitate to tell me if you feel like something like this will happen again,” Leslie said. “Promise you'll tell me.”
“I promise,” Kara replied, still feeling a little bit awkward.
“Good,” Leslie responded before quickly leaving the room, feeling her heart continuing to beat fast.

“Honestly,” Mycah's voice began to echo. “Dylan and I get along pretty well. We laugh at the same things… Listen to each other's interests… We're even on the same page about our emotions.” Mycah leaned back a little in his chair. “It's gone a whole hell of a lot better than I could've ever imagined.”
“Is that so?” Leslie asked her friend, raising an eyebrow.
Mycah nodded. “Mhm.” He leaned forward once more, planting his crossed arms on the table. “We even flirt.”
Sage added on, “It's true. I've seen it.”
“Sounds like you've got the beginnings of a potentially great relationship,” Leslie replied, feeling happy for her friend.
Mycah leaned back again. “Yep.” He exhaled. “Gods, he makes my heart flutter.”
Leslie smiled gently at that response.
“Tiyuk's a good kid,” Sage said as they directed their gaze toward Leslie. “Though, I'm guessing she really misses her mom.”
“Why?” Leslie started to ask Sage. “What happened?”
Sage answered, “According to Tiyuk's father—-Nashoba—-her mother was a witch who severed her bind… Then she just ran off.”
Leslie felt her heart drop, pitying Tiyuk. “That's horrible… Poor kid.”
Sage then said, “I think it's helping her a bit now that her father's back with her again, but she's still a bit sad…”
“She'll warm up to you,” Leslie responded. “Eventually.”
Sage exhaled. “Hopefully.”
“What about you?” Mycah then asked Leslie. “How's things going with Kara?”
“Eh.” Leslie shrugged, not wanting to say more on the topic.
Mycah raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean ‘eh’? Is it really that complicated?”
“I sang her son a lullaby to calm him when it was storming,” Leslie replied.
Mycah's eyes grew a little wider. “Oh, did you?”
Leslie then felt her face flush red with embarrassment. “Yeah. I did.”
Mycah snickered a little. “I bet Kara liked that.”
“And I…” Leslie closed her eyes, not wanting to see the intial reactions of what she was about to say to her friends. “I may have kissed her after she had a seizure.” She swallowed.
Sage and Mycah exchanged glances with each other before Mycah started snickering. “When's the wedding?”
Leslie's eyes opened quickly again, glinting with embarrassment.
Mycah further teased his friend. “Oh! Oh! When's the baby shower?”
“Mycah!” Leslie began, red-faced.
Mycah laughed more. “Sorry. You're just so fun to tease… Especially when you're in love.”
Leslie bit her tongue before getting up from her seat. “I need some air.” Then, she headed off to be alone, not once looking back at amused faces of Sage and Mycah.
