[ Third Person Pov.]

Draco was confused to see Ainsley on her bedroom floor, smiling wide at a portrait of herself that Iris had drawn. Although, her lips were stretched out into a smile, her eyes were empty.

"Have ya gone mad finally?" Draco commented gaining the girl's attention.

Though he would not like to admit, he was genuinely worried about her.

The younger one slowly turned her head towards her bedroom door, which was open. She started letting out a low laugh with no emotions, which gradually turned into a sob.

Now Draco was more confused, he was now definitely sure that something was up. He went inside the room and squatted to face Ainsley.

However, he was startled when Ainsley suddenly held him by his shoulders and waddled back and forth while mumbling something.

"Not me. Not me. Not me. Not me."

And she went on until Draco stopped her from waddling.

" Are you sick or what? " He let out, trying to sound as if he didn't care.

"He meant someone else, right? "

" Huh? "

" That's right not me. Probably Tighnari. Yes, he meant Tighnari. Cynonari all the way! " She grinned again.

" Is it about Cyno? Did he do something? " Sure, he sounded like an overprotective father but he didn't care anymore.

" But Tighnari doesn't have a cat, oh lord. " She completed ignored him, leaving the blonde to do nothing expect for figuring it out on his own.

And of course, it didn't take long for Draco to figure it out. He is one of the best students after all.

" So that night- it was- he likes- what. " Draco muttered out taking in the new information.

After he was done processing it, he stood up.

"I don't know what you think but I will make sure that he's staying the hell away from you."

"What no!"

" Why? You like the dude too? " He eyed the girl expecting an answer but all he received was silence.

" So you do? Well I'm still not letting him get closer than 8 feet from you. You're too young to date anyways. " He declared, turning to make his way out of her room.

" Then I will make sure you stay 16 feet away from Nora. "

" H-huh? "

" I know you like her. "

" Don't go spreading around rumours like that, you moron. "

" HE WHAT? " Ainsley exclaimed in shock as her best friend just told her about Draco inviting her to the Malfoy Manor.

" I wanna go too!!" Ainsley sounded desperate. Nora just assumed that it was because of Narcissa. Sure it was but not wholly. Ainsley was determined to get in the way of Draco and Nora, just like how Draco has been ruining her chances of having a proper conversation with Cyno.

The other day, Ainsley wanted some clarification with a few spells she learnt in a recent Defence Against The Dark Arts class so she approached Cyno as he was an expert in the subject. However, Draco jumped in and dragged her away saying that he would be very glad to help her.

"He said that I could bring anyone except you."

" That's right, I did. So go cry about it, Carlton. " Draco suddenly joined out of nowhere, which had Ainsley thinking that he was stalking one of the two girls.

" Oh now that I think about it, Cyno wouldn't join so I will have his company and- "

" On second thoughts, you can join!" Draco yelled at her face, causing Ainsley to smirk.

Nora, on the contrary, was oblivious to whatever that was happening and was just happy that she would have Ainsley to back her up whenever something gets awkward. She believed that Ainsley could keep a conversation from dying.

Ainsley glared at Draco as he was laughing at how Cyno refused to tag along.

He laughed harder every time he thinks back on what he said

'im sorry, I have important affair to attend to.'

Those words played on repeat inside Ainsley's mind. She was as good as rejected, according to her.

Suddenly, Carla chimed in.

"Y'all are basically best friends at this point."

This made Draco stop laughing and Ainsley from glaring at him. Now, they were both glaring at Carla as they spoke out.

"We're not!"

Now, they looked at each other.

"Stop copying me! " They said aloud together. This lead to yet another argument between the duo.

" Wow, they're behave the same. They must be long lost sibling or whatever. "

" RESPECT YOUR ELDERS! " Ainsley yelled.

" IM LITERALLY OLDER. "

" THEN WHY DON'T YOU ACT IT? "

" They're both immature, if you ask me." Al haitham says out.

" NOBODY ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION, OLD MAN. " Now, the duo's targets were no longer each other but the older guy.

" YEAH, HOW ABOUT YOU WORRY ABOUT HOW YOU ARE LITERALLY BALDING? " Ainsley's comeback made Kaveh wheeze. He was enjoying it a lil too much.

This is officially the shortest chapter of mine. This chapter is mostly centred towards Ainsley and Draco's relationship and it's gonna be at least two more chapters before Cyno has a proper scene.
