[Cyno POV]

"Achoo!"

"Bless you." I said for the third time in a row.

"Maybe I shouldn't have had ice cream last night..." Ainsley mumbled, crumpling the tissues in her hand.

I stop myself from almost saying, 'i told you so'. I wasn't interested in angering a sick Ainsley. The normal one is scary as is, don't tell her I said that.

"It'll probably get better if I take a cool shower." She continued, my eyes widened as I stopped her from stepping inside the bathroom.

"Huh? That's only going to make it worse!" I exclaimed. Showering with cold water just before December was not going to get her better.

"It works for me. I'm just build different." She flexed her biceps, which were quite non-existent before another sneeze caught up to her.

"Bless you." I said, again.

"Thank you." She mumbled before stepping inside and closing the door.

I tried not to let it show but honestly, I was pretty scared to meet her parents. Despite all of the things Ainsley said to put me at ease, my legs were still shaking as I thought about having to sit under her dad's gaze.

He was a silly guy, Ainsley said but do you know her dad? He beats up criminals for a living, I'm not messing with him.

I looked at the number of jewellery that was laid on my desk. Ainsley surely loved to accessorize.

I heard some glasses clashing in the kitchen. My sister was probably awake.

I unlocked my bedroom's door to peek out and confirm my assumption. Yep, I was right.

Candace stopped and almost dropped the glass of water she had gotten herself when she saw me.

"You scared me mf!" She seemed finally sober. "Are y'all not gonna wait for mum and dad or what?" She eyed my outfit.

"They're running late so..yeah." Cyno shrugged.

"Ah. Sucks to be them I guess. They don't get to meet Ainsley." Candace laughed at her own joke before pointing at me.

"You look too basic, dress up in a fun way." Candace commented. "Maybe some vibrant, happy looking clothes? You look like you're headed to someone's funeral."

"I look fine." I defend myself. "Ainsley said that I looked great!"

"She probably didn't want to hurt your feelings." Candace simply shrugged. "Her family is going to think you're a part of a cult or wtvr."

"Dark clothes don't automatically mean that I'm up to something ominous." I spoke, opening the pantry to grab something Ainsley could munch on. I doubted that she could travel for an hour without food.

A sick and hungry Ainsley would be a nightmare, even for me who loves her too much.

"Do you have a hair dryer I could use?" Ainsley's voice made me jump.
