[Cyno POV.]

A few minutes had passed since the power was back. We finished the movie and people slowly began moving onwards to their rooms after a few celebratory shots.

Ainsley, however, was dead asleep, all scrunched up in the few feet of Kaveh's daybed, well it belonged to both Kaveh and Alhaitham since they were roommates but I didn't want to include the latter.

She would be very upset for missing it. I needed to plan something to cheer her up.

But before that, I should bring her back to her room. It wasn't as easy as it sounded. Ainsley hated when someone woke her up.

Waking her up was hard when she was sober, now it was just going to be straight up impossible.

"I suggest you just let her be." Alhaitham suggested, already under the warmth of his blanket.

"And what? Go sleep knowing she's not comfortable?" I shot a bored look at him.

"If you care so much, then you should be able to wake her up." Alhaitham stated before pulling the blanket over his face.

I sighed before looking to the other corner to see Theo still drinking while sitting between Kaveh and Tighnari who were in a deep slumber as they hugged Theo.

"Hi." Theo greeted me when he noticed my gaze. "What do you plan on with that thing?" He pointed to Ainsley.

"Wake her up?"

"Good luck." He snickered, going back to his drink. He had more than ten bottles by himself but still seemed fine. Damn.

I took a deep breath, before approaching Ainsley.

"Ainsley?" I shook her shoulder, hoping it would help. It did.

"Fuck off." She mumbled, I stared.

I tried again.

"Ainsley, just get up so that-"

I stopped my sentence incomplete when her sad eyes looked into mine, even if just for a second.

"Just let me rest, please!" She hid her face with her arms.

Though I was worried, it was out of place. I had known Ainsley for almost 2 years and never once had I woken her up so soon. She was quite a heavy sleeper.

"You can rest, you will rest. Just not here, hm? Let's get you to your abode." I whispered, she seemed to have taken it in.

Without anything else spoken, she stumbled up on her feet and walked quickly to the room across, my room.

I followed her after giving Theo a quick wave. When I entered, she was balled up on my bed.

I didn't know why but she was having trouble sleeping too often lately. Everyday she slept during the evenings for 3-4 hours straight.

Sometimes, she would even take quick naps during classes.

I was concerned.

Nevertheless, I locked my door, turned off the lights and joined Ainsley in her sleep.

"You guys could've at least woken me up.." Ainsley mumbled, scrolling through the photos from last night when she was asleep.

"We tried, but failed." I hugged her from the back. "I'm sorry."

I didn't think that missing out on new year shots last night was that big of a deal, but if it was important to Ainsley then it was important to me.
