[Ainsley POV.]

After weeks of no Quadro bonding time, we decided to grab dinner at The Bold Brew together.

"I love anything Italian: Spaghetti, especially." Iris exclaimed.

"You know," Carla began. "Spaghetti didn't actually originate from Italy. They took noodles from China, added their own ingredients and gave it a new name."

Iris looked terrified.

"Yeah, pasta too. Arab traders introduced it to the Italians." I casually added, sipping my orange juice.

"Yeah, the name of the island too. Sicily, right?" Nora turned to Carla.

Carla nodded, indicating that Nora was right. "We had a whole chapter on it back in normal school." Carla emphasized the word 'normal.'

The term made me think back to the days when the wizarding world was but a mere fantasy to me.

A normal life with a few close friends, parents, who stressed me out but loved me as much as they did, and my surreal dreams.

It was different now. Very different.

"What if that incident never happened?" I found myself mumbling.

"What incident?"

"You know, when a few familiar faces hopped out of story books?"

"Oh." Everyone went quiet. I guess, like me, they were thinking about how life would've been if that didn't happen.

"I kinda miss that sometimes." Carla admitted. "I would like to go back if I had a chance."

"I wouldn't. I'm much happier now. With Draco and all." Nora smiled to herself.

I got a little emotional. I couldn't imagine a life without the people I met at Hogwarts.

"Yeah. Some of us are like that." Iris chuckled.

"Maybe in some parallel universe, we would be living like that." Nora wondered out loud.

All the thinking, made me wonder. Would I have been better off without this world? I didn't want to think like that. I had a lot of things and people I loved here.

But something in me stirred. What if everything goes bad? What if our interference has affected the world so much?

I mean, there are some that are very noticeable to the eye. Everything about Hogwarts was different from the books.

"What if this is all a simulation and none of this is real?" Iris suddenly asked.

"If that's the case, I would actually burn the world down." I really would.

Imagine you get sent to some magic school that you believed was all made up and actually liked it there but then someone wakes you up and reveals that it was all in your head. I would go crazy.

That moment, I felt grateful. I had the best of friends one could, parents that love and give me everything I ask for and everything I don't, and most important of all, a loving boyfriend who I wouldn't trade for the world.
