[Ainsley POV.]

It's THE day. The day of the ball. And I had 20 minutes to do my hair, and shove down the waffles that Tighnari was kind enough to make for me.

Meanwhile, Serene was all ready, shuffling through my collection of earrings to see if there were any that she could replace hers with.

"Wait, these heart ones are cute." She exclaimed from across the room.

"Yeah, they would go along better with your dress." I looked at her in the mirror, specifically at her chunky earrings, wincing at the sight.

"I'll switch them then."

I finally got my hair up. Now I just needed to finish my waffles and head to Nora's.

"Is my makeup okay?" I asked Serene, facing her while she was putting on my earrings.

"Yep. Don't really get why you put on all of it, Cyno's gonna ruin it in a second."

I pretended not to pay attention to her comment and put on my ring-bracelet thing which I haven't worn since I stole it from Skyler.

"You ready?" Serene asked as I got up from my place.

"Yep, we can head on after I feed this lil guy." I tilted my head to Kuro who laid on my bed like he owned it.

After stepping out of my room, I pulled out my phone to a lot of notifications from the Quadro gc. They were asking opinions about their looks.

I typed in a, 'can your dates fight?' before checking a message Cyno sent.

'text me when you're ready, I'll wait outside for you.'

I couldn't wait to see him.

I halted in my steps when I spotted Cyno standing, over Cedric's shoulder. I guess my friends noticed the daze I was stuck in, seeing that they left.
