"Good morning. How was you guys' sleep?" Tighnari greeted us as soon as we were in his sight.

"Fine. How about yours?" Carla replied and with that, they were in a conversation that did not excite me.

Noticing my bored face, Cyno asked, "Good morning, Ainsley. How are you liking your room?"

I looked at him before answering "It's really nice, but there is one thing that just upsets me."

"What is it?" He questioned while pouring some water in his now full glass.

"The window. Or rather the view out the window." I took a bite out of my breakfast and ate it before continuing, "You see, I have a hobby of stargazing and learning about the celestial objects."

Cyno nodded as a sign of acknowledgment.

"But I can't even see most of the sky! Only a lil bit! All I see is the big ass school and it reminds me of all the sadness and schoolwork." And I took another bite.

"Oh btw! Iris! Did you watch the recent bsd episode? There are plot twists after plot twist, it's getting so interesting!"

And I choked. Maybe it was God exploring new ways to shut my mouth. But that could've lowkey killed me dude.

Cyno instinctively passed me a glass of water, when Carla boringly patted my back.

"Don't die, Ains. Don't die." Iris said not even sparing a glance at me. The hell? I was about to die!!

"She's right. Besides, your parents can't afford a funeral rn. So postpone it." Said Carla.

"Damn. The golden child was about to die and that was what you were concerned about?" I said before taking the glass from Cyno. Well, can't blame them. I wouldn't have cared as well.

"You three seem very close. Would you mind me asking how you guys met?" I heard Tighnari ask. Storytime with Ainslay, lessgo.

"Ofc not. So, I and Iris were seatmates in seventh grade and eventually grew close given our common love for anime. And in eighth grade, we two just happened to be seated in front of Carla and Nora. I overheard them talking about kpop and where there is kpop, there must be Ainsley. I joined them and we hit it off and we became friends and lived happily ever after." I explained.

"How about you two?"

"Oh Cyno and I go long back."

"Yes. It was about half a decade ago. I left on an adventure with some of my friends to Gandharva ville, which was where Tighnari lived. It was situated amidst the forests and I found how he knew everything about the forest very well. We got close that time and have been friends ever since." Cyno told us.

"You went on an adventure?"

"Yes. Therefore, I became known as 'Cyno the adventurer' to some."
