[Ainsley POV]

Kuro hissed at the sight of me attempting to do my eyeliner.

I figured that I had to start learning how to wear make up eventually, and now seemed like a good time to start since the yule ball was approaching.

I wore the first dress I could pass as comfortable, yet cute enough.

Cyno has a been a little weird these days. Though we just returned from a little visit to our homes a few days ago, he claimed we hadn't been spending enough time with each other.

He planned a cute little date tonight. He suggested that we went stargazing again, and I couldn't see why not.

So here I was, getting ready to sneak off to the astronomy tower.

Theo was still upset with me. Though he had stopped running away whenever I entered the room, but he was still acting like I didn't exist.

I understood how he felt but he didn't have to paint me as the bad guy. He clearly didn't trust me enough, unlike Malfoy, who believed that I had my own reasons for what I did.

He had been making comments about it just to anger me and get an explanation out of my anger but it seemed that he had given up.

I would never really hide anything from that guy, he would understand, but this is something I can't risk.

I brushed off my worries and the cat hair on my dress, before considering taking Kuro with me.

He seemed to have missed me, seeing that he wasn't leaving me alone for a minute.

"I guess I can take you as long as you aren't loud." I pet his fur and he almost gave me a smile.

He meowed, it almost sounded like an 'yay'. I swear this guy is more than just a cat.

I picked up some of Kuro's treats and stuffed them inside a creepy sloth backpack that Alhaitham got me last year for my birthday, alongside a pack of salted peanuts and marshmallows. I can't be the only one eating, can I?

I get out with Kuro on my arms before approaching Malfoy's door. To say that my room was a hang out spot at this point, wouldn't be an exaggeration.

So I need to tell someone if I'm leaving because considering the people I'm friends with, they would plan out my funeral before even attempting to look for me after finding my room empty.

I knocked twice, not really having too much time to spare.

"The door's unlocked." He yelled out.
