Lily's Pov
I sighed as I took one last final look at the decorated room. It was seven o'clock in the evening, and the party would be starting in half an hour.
The room was now filled with decorations, and only when I was sure everything looked alright did I go upstairs to get ready.
As I walked into the bedroom, I was greeted with a surprise on me and Xavier's bed.
On the bed lay a kneel-length dark blue lace dress with short sleeves. There was a note beside it. I picked it up,a bit nervous to read it because I wondered if it was another threat from whoever was behind all the attacks.
I sighed in relief,though,when I saw it was only a note from Xavier.
Saw this at a shop and thought of you,wear it.

It was a short note,but it was sweet of him none the less. I picked up the dress,walking into the bathroom to gey changed.
After I was changed,I looked at myself in the mirror. The soft fabric of the dress was comfortable, and the dress fitted me perfectly.
I gazed at myself in the mirror. For the first time in a while,I really looked at myself. My once void cold eyes were now filled with happiness and joy,my once tangly and matted hair now looking long and healthy.
I was looking healthy.
I had come such a long way,and I decided there and then that I wasn't going to let whoever was behind these threats ruin things for me.
I wouldn't let them take away the things that I gave me happiness. Like Xavier,Elisa, Xavier's family, and being the Luna of the Red Blood pack.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by a hand being placed on my shoulder. I jumped,surprised at the sudden physical contact.
I looked behind me to see my mate. His eyes took me in as he scanned my outfit. "You look amazing, "Xavier gushed and o lightly blushed.
We stared at each other for a while,both of us leaning in. When our lips were about to meet,we were startled by a loud shriek.
"Why do I keep walking in on you two snogging?"Amanda groaned, covering her eyes with her hands.
Xavier lowly growled in annoyance before turning his attention onto his sister. "What do you want?"Xavier asked,annoyance evident in his voice.
"The part is about to start,and I am sure the pack wouldn't appreciate their alpha and Luna being late,"Amanda replied before she strolled out of the room.
Xavier huffed before quickly pressing a slow but short kiss to my lips. He took my hand in his own,leading me out of the room and downstairs where the pack was waiting for us.
Everyone applauded us when we reached the bottom of the staircase. Me and Xavier walked to the middle of the room,Xavier picking up a glass to make a toast.
"Today, we are here to celebrate the news of new life in our pack. Elisa and Thomas are expecting a child. With that child comes hope for future generations and the future of our pack,"Xavier announced, everyone cheering in agreement.
"To the future,"Xavier toasted, and everyone repeated the words,"to the future."
An appaulase followed, and I was suddenly tackled by Elisa in a big hug. "Thank you,Lily. The decorations look amazing,"she thanked me, and I smiled back at her.
Music started to play on the speakers,and I joined Elisa on the dance floor,spinning and twirling in time to the music.
Thomas suddenly appeared behind Elisa, his eyebrows furrowed. "Honey,be careful. You could fall and hurt the baby. You could trip over or -"Thomas advised her, but Elisa hushed him.
"Look, Thomas,I know you're trying to help, but I can dance and have fun without hurting my myself, "Elisa objected.
"I know,but -"Elisa narrowed her responsibility at her mate as Thomas continued to try and scold her.
"If you don't shut up,you will be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the week,"Elisa threatened, and Thomas immediately shut his mouth.
"That's what I thought, "Elisa giggled, and we continued to dance together.

The party lasted for three hours,and mine and Elisa's legs were hurting from dancing so much.
We joined our mates at a nearby table,nearly collapsing onto the floor. "Who knew you could have that much fun and be so tired afterwards?"Thomas teased us and me, and Elisa groaned in frustration.
"You okay flower?"Xavier asked as I laid my head on his shoulder,only offering him a small nod in reply to his question.
"Congratulations, Elisa."Pack mates said, coming up to Elisa and Thomas to offer their praise.
I looked around at the many pack members that were dancing to the music,smiles of their faces, and all their worries forgotten.
We needed this. Everyone just needed a distraction,something to take their minds off of everything that had happened.
Mu attention came back to Xavier as a young woman in her looked to be in her twenties approached him,a grave look on her face.
"Alpha, there is someone here to see you," the women told Xavier. She whispered something in his ear,and I knew something was awfully wrong when his face turned to one filled with worry.
"I'll be back in a minute, flower. Stay with Thomas, and don't go anywhere on your own,got it?"he ordered, and I nodded.
He stormed out of the room, making my curiosity grow. I couldn't help myself with what I did next.
I snuck out of the room,staying out of sight of passing guards. I followed along the corridor until I reached Xavier's office, where I heard him shouting at someone.
"What the he'll are you doing here?"Xavier shouted, and I snuck my head from behind the wall,catching a glimpse of the person my mate was talking to.
"Can't I visit my own brother?"replied the taunting voice of the man I hadn't seen in months.
