Xavier's Pov

I had fought  many battles in my life. All of them are the same with me coming out victorious, and the fools that dared to fight me were always killed.

This battle was different, though.

I was gaining more satisfaction than I ever had before at seeing the rogues fall on the floor, dead.

I stood and watched as the battle around me unfolded. My warriors were fighting bravely, tackling through rogues to the ground, and ripping them apart.

The battle was bloody, but at least we were winning.

I looked as a rogue came running towards me at full speed, teeth bared, and claws extended. They were about to strike to me when I tackled the rogue to the ground and carelessly detached its head from its body, blood coating my fingers as I did so.

I wasn't fazed,though.

I had done this countless times before. Was it disgusting? Yes,but did it satisfy me seeing my enemies suffering in pain? Greatly, yes.

A howl suddenly came out from behind me,and I turned to see Thomas on the ground wivering in pain while multiple rogues held him down, about to kill him.

I charged forward towards them, shifting into my wolf form. My wolf was bigger than the average wolf, so when the rogues saw me running towards them,I saw some of them begin to back away in fear of what was about to come.

I slashed my paws into the rogues' fur, their whimpers of pain pleasing me.

Killing them one by one,I watched as Thomas got off the floor, one of his hands clutching his side.

I knew the cut wasn't fatal, but it would definitely leave a mark once it was healed.

Thoms nodded his head to thank me before he ran off to help one of our warriors that needed help killing his attacker.

Looking over,I saw my father in his wolf form, finishing killing a rogue wolf. After the rogue fell dead on the floor,I saw him look over at me, his eyes scanning over the blood that stained the majority of my body.

He shook his head and went back to killing more rogues.

I almost smirked as I saw my father's reaction. He believed I was a monster,he just wasn't prepared to actually see me as one.

He didn't have to hide what he thought of me because I already knew that he was disgusted, more like repulsed, but me.

I didn't care anymore, though.

I had my mate to support me, and nothing else mattered to me more than Lily.

She was the only one who saw through my emotionless exterior and knew the real me. The real me who had a bad past, the real me that blamed himself for losing his first mate, and that's why I didn't even try to tell my parents about what actually happened to Mirabella.

My warriors were struggling to pull through with the amount of rogues that kept attacking, but I knew we could win.

So when the last rogue fell to the floor and there was nothing left but multiple dead bodies,I howled out in victory, and I was quickly joined by the rest of my pack.

When I was about to turn back to Thomas,a frantic warrior came rushing towards me.

"Alpha,we caught Henry trying to leave the territory, and he isn't with the Luna and the beta female."the warrior said, and I saw two other males dragging a badly bruised Henry towards me.

I strolled towards him, yanking him by his collar so I could get closer to him. "I gave you one job,one damn job, and you had to go and mess it up! Where the hell is my mate, what have you done to her?!"I yelled on his face.

"Alpha, please, I had no choice. He said he was going to kill my father if I didn't bring the Luna to him -"I cut him off by strangling him, but Thomas stepped forward and stopped me.

"I know how you feel,Xavier, I feel just as angry as you do about our mates being in danger, but you have to think this through, "Thomas calmed me down, and I released Henry from my tight grip.

"Where is she? Who is he?"I growled, and Henry looked up into my merciless red eyes before finally he gave in.

"It was Xander..."
