'He would risk everything for her'

Xavier's Pov

I slammed the door shut behind me as i walked into my office, my canines alongated.

As I sat down,I read over the note that my mate had given me.

I saw the little girl in the woods, and I couldn't help but want to turn her into one of my masterpieces. I hope you enjoyed the outcome, and you're probably wondering about the other child.

I warned you before, but I guess you didn't take me seriously, so I had no over option but show you that I am not messing around here.

If you don't want the other child to end up the same way,I suggest you give me what I want, or this will keep happening.

I scrunched up the paper as I growled in frustration.  I had dealt with a lot of enemies in the past,but clearly,I was dealing with a new kind of enemy here.

Whoever was behind all of this,they were truly relentless.  The attack at Lily's intiation ceremony had been no coincidence.

The rogues had left me another note after they had attacked. I had tried to hide it from Lily because I didn't want to worry her.

I thought at the time that whoever was behind this was just messing around. I didn't know that they had been serious.

Now,though,I had clearly been proven wrong.

To make things worse,Lily knew. She knew about what the attacker wanted, and she was angry at me from not telling her in the first place.

I had only been trying to protect her, and I hadn't thought anything about it at first.

As I stared at the note, a new sense of determination filled me. Whoever was behind this was digging their own grave.

To go against my pack is one thing, but to threaten me was just a death sentence in itself.

No one threatens me or my pack and lives. I'll make sure the person behind this suffers.

That will know the true meaning of why I sm called the Red Blood Alpha.

"Alpha?"Thomas called out as he entered my off,a stern look on his face. I leaned back in my chair,my hands clasped together as I stared at my beta,waiting for what he had to say.

"Did you find anything?"I asked him, but he just shook his head.

I growled before punching the wall in frustration.  I was going to get to the bottom of who was behind all of this, even if it's the last thing I do.

"We do have a lead of who might he ratting us out in the pack,though,"Thomas announced, and I perked up at hearing that.

I looked at him expectantly as I waited for him to continue.  "Carlos reported that James keeps disappearing on his shifts,"he said.

I growled at this.

James was one of the head guards, and I trusted him a lot.  He was always part of my discussions of battles and upcoming events.

If he had heard any of our conversations ,he would be giving out very valuable information to our new enemy.

The fact that he betrayed me made me snarl but also smirk at realizing that Jane's didn't know we were onto him and I couldn't wait to see his reaction when he found that I knew what he was doing.

"Keep an eye on him. On his next shift,I want you to follow him and find out eho he is giving information to,"I ordered, and Thomas nodded before leaving the room.

As I looked down at the note in front of me,I snarled.  The fact that my enemy wanted my mate, my flower,was laughable.

There was no way I was handing my mate over. My new enemy was foolish if he thought he was going to get my mate.

I had lost my first  mate a long time ago, and God forbid I wouldn't let that happen again.

Lily was mine, and anyone who wanted her would have to go through me first...
