Lily's Pov

The warm rays of the sun shone through the window, casting a ray of light in the dark bedroom.  I felt warm as I cuddled further into Xavier's warm chest.

I finally felt completed.  I had everything that I needed.  The bond was now completed since Xavier and I  had mated.

Something felt off,though.  There was an odd feeling weighing heavily on my shoulders. I felt like something unexpected was going to happen today.

I pushed my thoughts away and buried my face into Xavier's bare chest.  Staying curled up in my mate's warmth,I watched as Xavier slightly stirred from his peaceful sleep.

He had slept peacefully last night, and the usual creases on his forehead that appeared when he frowned in his sleep were completely gone.

I still didn't know what Xavier's nightmare had been about a couple of days ago, but I chose not to question him about it.

I didn't want to ruin what me and Xavier had, and I was enjoying not having any worries.

It was just me and Xavier, and that's all I needed at the moment.

I looked at the various tattoos that littered the majority of my mate's body. I trailed my hand over them,looking at every detail of each one of them.

They were beautiful.

Some had strange pictures of them. One of them had a large black wolf with red eyes ,and I instantly knew it symbolised Xavier's wolf.

And then I saw a familiar name.

Mirabella

I traced my finger over the tattooed name,drawing over each of the carefully drawn out letters, but then the questions started up in my mind.

Why would Xavier have the name of Xander's mate as a tattoo?

Xavier suddenly sat up,rubbing his tired eyes as he looked at me.  I didn't want to ruin this moment, so I decided to question him about it later.

"Morning, flower."Xavier said,his voice husky. My eyes widened as the new nickname. The nickname made me shiver as I turned back to my mate.

"How did you sleep?"I asked him.

"A lot better than I have in a long time."he answered,cupping my cheeks and caressing them lightly.

I looked at Xavier's lips as he stared down at me,a teasing and knowing look in his eyes.  I leaned in, and as our lips were about to connect,the door slammed open.

I looked in embarrassment to see a giggling Amanda at the door. She stared at us before she suddenly realized what she was seeing.

She covered her eyes and looked away from me and Xavier.  "Oh,my poor eyes!"she screamed.

Xavier growled at her,the annoyance at our kiss being interrupted evident on his face.

"I just wanted to say that breakfast is ready. Also,Mum says if you're not downstairs in the next five minutes,she is going to come up here and drag you downstairs by your ear,"Amanda giggled before closing the door again.

I laughed as Xavier's face pailed at Amanda's words before he leapt out of bed to get ready.

He returned a few moments later,wearing a pair of jeans and a grey hoodie.

"Who would have thought the big bad alpha would be scared of his own mother?"I giggled out loud, gaining Xavier's attention.

A dangerous look crossed his face as he took in my words,but I saw the amusement in his eyes.

"I'm the big bad alpha, am I?"he said, coming towards me as I nodded my head.

"You're right, and don't you forget it,"he said, leaning on top as I lay on the bed.

"But I am you're big bad alpha,"he said and again tried to kiss me.

I only say tried because Isabella suddenly kicked the door open and stormed towards Xavier.

She grabbed Xavier by his ear and dragged him out of the room. 

"How dare you hold Lily captive?!!"Isabella yelled at him as I watched her pull Xavier down the stairs.

The thing is, though,I didn't mind being held captive by mate.

I didn't mind at all...
