'Stop waiting for them to fix you when they are the thing that broke you'

Lily's POV

I felt trapped again. This time, it's worse, though. I was currently sitting on the luscious bed in my fairly big sized room.

I kept looking at the walls. Even though the room was a decent size,it still felt like the walls were closing in on me.

At any moment,I was scared the walls would move even closer to me,caging me in with no way to escape this time.

This time, I not only felt trapped because of the room I was in but also because of the words of my mate.

I hadn't seen my mate in a couple of days. I stayed trapped in this room ever since. I wasn't sure if the door was locked,but I had decided to stay in here.

I feared what I would have faced if I came out of the safety of this bedroom. I didn't know anyone here.

Apart from mate.

Yet,he had made it abundantly clear that he wanted nothing to do with me.

My wolf kept telling me to go and find him,yet I couldn't will myself to get off this bed and leave this room.

I had to remember that he was still the Red Blood Alpha. I had heard the rumors surrounding him, and he hadn't denied any of them.

In fact,it seemed as if he enjoyed being feared by everyone. It gave him power, and he seemed to like that.

Clearly,being feared and powerful mattered more to him than i did.

That's what hurt me the most.

A loud bang brought me out of my thoughts.Shouting came from outside of my bedroom.

I tensed as I saw the door knob rattling, signalling someone was trying to enter the bedroom.

I got into a fighting stance,ready to attack. Until I saw the girl from a few days ago. She had been the one to warn everyone that the alpha had been on his way.

Her emerald eyes stared at me as she offered me a warm smile. Her brown hair reached her mid back, and she had a kind but confident demeanour about her.

Thanks to my old pack,I had trouble trusting people. Something about this girl was telling me I could trust her,though.

But I couldn't help but still fear that if i did let myself get close to her she would backstab me.

"Hi. Do you remember me from the other day? I'm Elisa. Nice to meet you, Luna."she bowed her head respectfully at me.

My wolf hummed at the title, but I was confused. "I'm not your Luna."I spoke softly. Elisa looked up at me in confusion.

"Are you the alpha's mate?"she asked, and I nodded.

"Then you are my Luna."she said with no hesitancy. I was even more confused now. The alpha made it clear he didn't want me to be his Luna.

Had he changed his mind?

"But the alpha said that I wasn't to become the Luna of this pack."I replied cautiously.

"I don't care what the alpha said. As far as I'm concerned, you are my Luna."she said again.

I grinned at her words, but a part of me felt disappointed that the alpha still didn't want me by his side in ruling the pack.

Sure,I wasn't Luna material,but you're supposed to be beside your mate no matter what. That includes being beside your mate in their rank in the pack.

"Anyways,I came here because the alpha wants you to join the pack for breakfast."
