Chapter seventy eight

Xavier's Pov

I stared at the vast territory that my brother had called his. We had finally reached where Xander's pack resided, and I was as determined as ever to achieve my goal.

To rescue my mate.

My warriors stood behind me,prepared to await my next orders. I turned to Thomas, who was staring at me with longing in his eyes.

I knew that just I was Thomas, and I was looking forward to getting Elisa back. The thing we were both dreading, though, is what obstacles we had face to rescue our mates.

We were willing to risk everything for our mates,including our lives.

"Remember, it's your job to find our mates and bring them to safety,"I told Thomas, who nodded his head in understanding.

I turned to my warriors. 

"Do what you must to protect your Luna. Kill if you have to,but remember.  You are to leave my brother to me,understand,"I ordered, and my pack members growled in agreement.

With no time to waste,I shifted into my wolf,my warriors following suit.

Looking back,I saw how my warriors were willing to risk their own lives for their Luna. I was lucky to have such loyal pack members.

I started to run towards where Xander's pack was. My paws pounded angrily against the ground as I ran forward.

I took a deep breath before I crossed the border into my brother's territory.  I knew that Xander was aware that I was here as my ears perked up at the sound of rustling.

My brother was a fan of surprise attacks because that was what he was. He was full of surprises.

I started counting in my head.

1...

2...

3...

There was a loud howl as my brother's warriors charged towards me at full speed,their claws extended.

I rushed forward as I tackled a group of soldiers to the ground. They were instantly dead as I trampled on them with my large paws.

You could call it harsh,but I didn't care what it took to get my mate back. Anyone who stood in my way would be instantly killed.

Even if they were just following their alpha's orders.

I watched as Thomas tried to stay hidden in the surrounding bushes as he etched towards the pack house to rescue Lily and Elisa.

Some of Xander's pack members spotted Thomas,and I wasted no time in distracting them, so Thomas had a clear path ahead of him.

I was suddenly pinned to the ground as a large group of twenty warriors came towards me,chains in their hands.

Mu brother was foolish if he thought that his pack could take me down.

I quickly got back up on my paws,the soldiers gulping as my large figure towered over them.

I quickly started to kill them by digging my teeth into their flesh and tearing them apart.

The soldier I had yet to kill started running away from me and into the battlefield,and I chased after him.

I enjoyed the chase as I cornered him into a tree and slashed him with my claws.

My victory was short-lived as I felt myself being circled from behind me. Xander's warriors quickly injected me with wolfsbane,my body becoming weak as I crumpled to the floor.

They quickly started to tie me up,my wolf form unmoving as the vile substance they had injected spread to my limbs.

The world because hazy but I fell unconscious with a smirk on my face.

Thomas would find my mate.
