"Good morning, Kacchan!" Deku cooed as he heard his childhood rival struggling in his bounds, he seemed to have regained consciousness. "How do you feel?"

"What the hell?" Bakugo strained, he wasn't sure why he couldn't get out of these bounds. They seemed to be normal ropes, but he couldn't escape. Deku looked at him, trying to contain his laughter as he watched him struggle. Bakugo hadn't looked at him yet, but once he did he was sure it would be a passionate reunion.

He sat patiently, waiting for Kacchan to calm down enough to register what was going on. The look of realization in Bakugo's eyes was delicious.

"Wait." His eyes wandered up to the man who was sitting in the chair across from him. Those freckles, that hair.

    "Izuku."
Deku laughed, "Not anymore. The name 'hero' doesn't exactly fit, does it? As you have so aptly pointed out so many times throughout our lives. So I've come to prefer the name that you gave me."

"What the hell is going on?"

"You're smart, Kacchan, what do you think is going on?"

    "What the hell happened?"

"Stop playing dumb! You are getting on my nerves! You know what happened."

    "I really don't."

"But you do! Oh Kacchan you do know! You're going to stop asking stupid questions or I'm going to take something from you. I just.. Haven't decided what yet." he cocked his head to the side, "I can't stop you from bleeding well enough to take any of the things I want to take from you. I don't want you dead after all."

    "Izuku I-"

"I said that wasn't my name anymore!" Deku's eyes were full of hatred as he lifted his knife and took a step towards Bakugo, but he stopped himself. Bakugo's eyes widened, he didn't know what was going on, he was scared, but he was mostly devastated to learn that this was what happened to the little ray of sunshine he had known through his childhood, what he had done to the ray of sunshine.

Deku looked at Bakugo, what could he take from him? What would hurt him most?

"I shouldn't have done this." Deku shook his head, "you don't care if I maim you."

Bakugo frowned, staying quiet out of caution, wondering where he was going with this.

Deku shook his head "I shouldn't have done this." he repeated, stepping towards Bakugo and hitting him over the head with a bat.

Bakugo regained consciousness in a hospital room, there was gauze on his head and his arms burned. Kirishima and Kaminari were both at his bedside, he was confused for a moment before panic began to set in. Deku was out there, trying to hurt him. 'You don't care if I maim you' repeated in his mind. What did he care about? Did Deku know? He hadn't spoken to him in years.. Fuck. Bakugo sighed

"I need you guys to check in with my parents to make sure they're safe."

"We already sent Uraraka." Denki replied, "she's guarding your house."

Bakugo nodded, his stomach turned, he really didn't want Ochaco dead. Surely Deku wouldn't- he had no idea. He was worried. He called Ochaco with a frown, she picked up

"Good morning Kacchan!" she chirped, and Bakugo cringed

    "How is everything?"

"Everything is fine. No one has showed up here." Ochaco murmured, "How are you?"
