Kirah wiped her tears as she recorded Miles who was standing up on the court with his teammates jumping around.
"Your 2023 Atlanta State champions are East High School!" The loud man said over the gym intercom
Parents and family members cheered
Miles ran over to Kirah and she pulled him into a hug not caring that he was sweaty. She was proud of him and the team. She knew it wasn't easy but they pushed through and did it. Especially since their championship game was supposed to be two weeks but got pushed back. She was happy that mess then or lost faith to play today.
"I'm so proud of you, Miles. So proud." She said
He smiled and pulled back "Thank you."
"Yo Miles, we fucking did it bro!" Isaiah said walking over to them
"Oh shit my bad." He says still cursing
"You know you still cursed right?" Kirah said
He chuckled "Yeah my bad for real."
Kirah shook her head laughing at him before giving him a hug also.
"I'm so proud of y'all." She says
Isaiah smiled "Thank you, slight work." He says dusting his shoulder playfully
"Slight work my ass man. My feet are barking." Miles said
Kirah chuckled "Oh stop it, I'll run you bath water when we make it home."
He grinned
"But for now let's go celebrate. Let's go eat out."
"Where are you taking me out?"
"Wherever you want." She shrugged
He smiled "Um I don't know- wait nah I could eat some seafood right now."
"Seafood?"
"Yeah." He says rubbing his belly thinking about it
"Seafood it is." She agreed, "Allyiah will be joining us. Is that okay with you?"
Miles nodded "Yeah I don't mind."
He looked at Isaiah "You coming with us?"
Isaiah nodded but quickly shook his head afterwards "Nah nevermind I think ima just pass."
Miles looked at him confused "You sure?"
Isaiah looked at Kirah while rubbing the back of his of his neck.
Kirah cleared her throat "Miles, go finishing celebrating with your friends and grab your things while I talk to Isaiah right quick."
He nodded "Alright I'll be back."
Kirah watched as he jogged off before frowning a bit looking at Isaiah, "Okay what's going on?"
