Carter smiled as she watched Miles, Isaiah and Crystal talk about the college and the tour. They went visiting yesterday but were invited back again today to play some basketball at their gym.
She walked side by side with Kirah but she was so busy playing on her phone.
It's been two days since their disagreement and argument and believe it or not but it was actually hurting Carter a bit.
She knew she messed up coming at her like that and she knew most of it was coming off of jealousy.
Kirah on the other hand knew she fucked up too. She should have never brought Ishmail here on this trip. Or even went out to dinner with him the other night. It was wrong and disrespectful. This trip was supposed to be something for her to support Miles and being there for him during one of the most important moments of his life.
"Hey C." Isaiah called out
Carter eyebrows perked up letting him know she was listening.
"We could go hit the game room again?"
She chuckled but nodded "Yeah go ahead. Be safe and don't come back late. We got a flight in the morning."
They all nodded before going off down to the elevator.
She glanced over at Kirah "Can we talk? Please?"
Kirah had put her phone in her purse before nodding
Carter followed her into her hotel room.
Once they were in her room, Kirah sat down in a chair while Carter sat on the couch.
It was quiet before they both spoke
"I'm sorry." They both said
Carter slightly grinned tilting her head "When I asked if we can talk, I kind of meant just me really apologizing."
Kirah chuckled "Yeah but you know that wasn't going to happen. I was wrong. I should've never even brought him here. It's a trip to support and be here for our brothers and Crystal. You were right, Carter."
"I get you. I'm sorry for coming at you like that, mama. It was wrong and I'll admit that I was jealous."
Kirah raised an eyebrow "Jealous? Of what? Who? Ishmail?"
Carter run her thumb over her right hand and shrugged a bit "Yeah I guess."
Kirah pouted and walked over to sit down next to her "Aww that's so cute."
Carter sucked her teeth and swatted her hands away "Go on with that."
She chuckled "Are you ready to go back home tomorrow?"
Carter nodded as a yawn escaped her mouth "Definitely. This hotel is nice as hell but I miss my damn bed."
"Yes same." Kirah says
