"Let's goooo!" Isaiah yelled out as him and his teammates cheered around inside of the gym
The team just went against their last game in the playoffs & they won so they were going moving on to the championship.
Carter couldn't be more proud of her brother. This was something he constantly talked about all year and he was finally here.
Same thing for Kirah, it felt good seeing her little brother do he loves to do. It's like every game he was getting better and better.
And what was even better was his change of heart.
Since her and Carter decided to try one more time, they still kept it lowkey and between them two. Of course their friends knew about them but not their brothers. They didn't want to force a friendship on them.
Luckily, somehow, nobody knows how but the two got paired for a science project so the last two days Miles has been going over to Carter's place to work on it.
Kirah didn't want to make it so obvious the two were dating or talking so she just drops him off and would pick him whenever they get to a stopping point.
They didn't mean she didn't call Carter while they were working to see how things were going.
She was shocked but also happy when Carter said all good things. Miles was talking to her , having basketball debates, joking and etc with her and Isaiah.
He liked Carter but he wouldn't admit that to his sister no matter how many times she tired to get it out of him.
And he wasn't sure if it was the project- well it definitely was the project because him and Isaiah was starting to become cool with one another.
Kirah was just happy things were going good.
After the team celebrated on the court and accepted their metals, Isaiah was walking over by Carter who was thanking coach.
"I told you I was going to get them here! Hardworking man." Coach Jackson said
Carter chuckled and dapped him "Definitely did."
She glanced up at Isaiah who walked and the two did a handshake. He was drenched in sweat and he didn't want to get it on her.
"Proud of you kid." She said smiling
He smiled "Thanks C."
"I'm going to check on the team. I'll catch y'all later." Coach said
Carter nodded "Alright."
The two dapped one more time before he walked away.
"You got everything?"
"Yeah I was actually hoping I could go out."
Carter raised an eyebrow "Out where?"
"One of the guys throwing a little gathering at his house. Can I go?"
Carter looked at him debating on her answer.
