"Congratulations Kirah, you are currently six months in!" Dr. Barrette says excitedly
Kirah smiled as she squeezed her hand happily, "This is crazy. I can't believe it."
Dr. Barrette smiled and pulled back before pulling her gloves off, "Are you ready to get them out of you?"
Kirah shot her an of course look making her laugh.
"Don't worry they'll be in your arms soon." She said
Kirah chuckled
After washing her hands Dr. Barrette looked at her, "So I believe that's it for the day. Is there any questions you need for me to answer?"
Kirah thought about it for a moment before shaking her head, "No I'm okay."
"Alrighty then, remember to stop wearing heels Kirah."
Kirah threw her hands up, "Yes ma'am you got it. No more heels."
"Good, I'll see you in a few weeks."
The two waved before she walked out.
Kirah decided to wash her own hands before grabbing her purse and leaving out of the room and then the office.
Once she reached outside, she headed to her Porsche truck.
On her way there, she heard feet rushing up beside her making her look up and see Carter.
Already pissed at her, she immediately rolled her eyes hard.
Carter sighed, "I'm sorry, Kirah."
Kirah just ignored her and continued to walk to her car but that didn't stop Carter from trailing next to her.
"Are you going to ignore me forever now?" She asks
She sucked her teeth, "That's mad childish..."
When those words left out of her mouth, Kirah stopped in her tracks and turned to face Carter.
"Childish? Carter I have every right to ignore you. You begged me to keep the babies AFTER I already had a feeling you weren't ready. You go on a wild rampage and leave for days and when you come back you break up with me."
"Oh and let's not forget how you simply just didn't show up to our check up today? I texted you literally last week about it and last night I did to remind you. You replied saying you would be here just for you not to be. I would ask you what was the reason but I don't even believe anything that comes out of your mouth anymore. Knowing you, you'll just some more shit and feel disgusted by me."
Carter frowned, "No I won't. I actually did set my alarm but I must've done it for pm instead of AM."
Kirah just rolled her eyes, "Whatever Carter."
"I'm telling the truth, Kirah."
"Listen I really don't care about what you're telling me right now. If you want to be in our babies lives then fine be there but if this break up meant you don't want to be there then don't. You don't have to stick around if you don't want to. At the end of the day, I'm a grown ass woman and I knew what it was with you before I got pregnant. And I know with or without you that I'll be fine." She says
