FLASHBACK-NIGHT-OUTSIDE ATLANTA

There's a traffic jam on the highway. People are outside their cars. Shane and Ian are listening for broadcasts on the car radio.

Carl is walking towards Carol's car when a young girl bumps into him.

Carl: Oh sorry

Jenna: Watch where you're going!

Carl: You bumped into me!

Jenna: How about I punch you?

She walks past him bumping into his shoulder as she goes, Carl turns watching her go.

Lori and Vivian are standing beside Shane's car. A helicopter is flying above them

Lori: You got anything?

Shane: There's nothing.

Lori: Big surprise there.

Ian: No he means there's nothing. Emergency broadcast system stopped and that recording about the refugee center. It's all gone

Shane: I'm gonna go up the road, see what I can see.

Ian: I'll come with you

Shane nods as they begin to walk away. They pass by a young woman who hands Lori a box

Woman: Here you go. I had these in my purse

Lori: Thank you.

Woman: Don't mention it. Your kids needs it more then I do.

Lori: I'm Lori

Woman: I'm Annabelle.

ELSEWHERE

Shane and Ian are walking between the cars and people.

Ian: Why would they stop broadcasting about the center?

Shane: I don't know.

Ian: Think they're turning people away?

Shane: They're gonna have a riot on their hands if they try. Let's go.

They pass by a car with Grady, his brother, sister in law and niece inside

Lucy: Uncle Grady, I'm scared

Grady takes her in his arms kissing her on the forehead

Grady: It's gonna be okay. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise.

ELSEWHERE

Carol, Vivian, Lori, Carl, Sophia, and Ed are standing beside their cars. There's a loud noise up ahead of them. Lori wraps her arms around her son and daughter. All of them staring ahead.

ELSEWHERE

Two men are fighting. A group trying to stop them. Ian and Shane walks past them

Shane: Come on. Let's go.

Ian: What the hell do we do?

Shane: We're gonna get Lori and them out of here.

Two helicopters flies above them towards the city. Everyone stops and looks up.

Ian: Is that what I think it is?

Shane: That's not lightening. Let's go.

They run though the woods walking past a red car. A woman is sitting inside crying.

WOODS

A few people are in the woods looking at the city, crying and sobbing. Ian and Shane stops and looks out to the city.
