IAN'S DREAM

Ian: Wake up, man

Ian is standing in a hospital room staring down at Rick's body in a hospital bed.

Ian: Wake up, brother.

He turns his head looking out the window as helicopter blades are heard. Dozens of helicopters flies through the air zooming past the window.

He looks down, his hand pressed up against his wound, his hand covered in his blood.

PRESENT

Rick and Ian snaps their eyes open still with the rebar pinned through their bodies, the herds are getting closer and closer.

They reaches their hands up and screams loudly in pain. They quickly undo their belts and wraps them around the rebar pushing themselves off the ones in their bodies.

They lets out loud pained filled screams lifting themselves off the rebars. They hold onto their wounds crawling towards the horses and weakly lifts their selves on horseback galloping down the road with the herd snarling behind.

ELSEWHERE

A RV is smoking as it slowly comes to a stop on a dirt road. Jadis turns the key but the RV's engine sputters.

Man: Jadis, confirm location. Confirm location and status of your "A" and the Candidate. Do you have the Immune girl?

Jadis slowly reaches and grabs the walkie.

Jadis: I'm in a clearing. East bank of the Accotink. 1.6 miles due north of the junkyard.

Man: You have the A and Candidate.

Jadis: I have them and they're ready for transport.

Man: Do you have the Immune girl?

Jadis: No, I don't have the Immune girl.

Man: We haven't heard from you since the aborted pickup. We know your group vacated the landfill. If this is a trick, there can still be consequences.

Jadis: It's not a trick. If I need evacuation, you know that I'm desperate. I need to leave this place. You know where to find me.

She grabs the handgun and opens the door getting out of the RV and looks down the dirt road

Jadis: And I'll be ready.

ELSEWHERE

Rick and Ian are holding their bleeding wounds riding slowly down the road with the herd snarling behind them.

Rick: Need to keep em safe.

Ian: Have to keep em safe. Need to stay awake.

Rick: Have to stay awake.

Ian: Lead em away.

Shots of the farm, the car from the pilot and the hospital bed flashes through Ian's mind.

They begin galloping the horses faster down the road with the large herd snarling behind them.

ALEXANDRIA

Vivian is standing at the counter as Judith is sitting in a chair.

Vivian: What are you making?

Judith: A bracelet.

Vivian: Oh with the shells?

Judith: Mm-hmm.

Vivian: That's gonna be pretty.

Judith: A creature used to live in this one?

She holds a shell in her tiny hand

Vivian: Yeah, all of them.
