Shane and Grady are standing in front of a trunk of a car
Grady: Think he's still alive?
Shane: Probably.
He opens the trunk
Shane: Yep. Still kicking.
He closes the trunk. Rick walks out of the Grimes tent.
Vivian walks towards him
Vivian: Dad?
Rick: Hey where you been?
Vivian: Checking on Beth. Are you going?
Rick: Look after your mother and brother, okay? Shane and I will be back quick.
Vivian: Do you have to take Shane with you? Why not Uncle Ian? Or Brian? Glenn, T-Dog and Grady
Rick: Trust me, I need to take Shane with me. I have to talk with him and Shane and Ian hate each other right now.
Vivian: Be careful
Rick: Always am
He kisses her forehead
Rick: I love you
Vivian: I love you too, Dad.
He walks away. She watches her go, sighing softly.
HOUSE
Lyla is cutting meat with Maggie beside her cutting tomatoes, Ian walks in
Ian: Hey you two need any help?
Maggie: No thanks.
Lyla: Ian, you talked to Brian?
Ian: No today. Why?
Lyla: Brian hasn't been the same since you got back. This isn't the first time he went into town but he says he froze. Blames me.
Maggie: Why would he blame you?
Ian: Maybe because he was scared because you said you loved him
Maggie looks at her shocked
Lyla: He told you?
Ian(chuckles): And Rick.....
Lyla: Oh God.
Maggie: Wait---wait, you love him? That's great. What matters is he came back. I'm sure you two will be okay
Lyla: I don't know. Maybe I said it too soon. I said it right before he was heading off to get dad.
Ian: Lyla, Brian's a big boy. He makes his own choices and---do you have anything to feel bad about?
Lyla shakes her head
Ian: Tell him to man up and pull himself together
Maggie: Don't say "Man Up"
Lyla smirks placing a glass of water on the tray
Lyla: It never goes well.
Ian and Maggie chuckles. Vivian walks into the kitchen and grabs the tray
Vivian: I'll take this to Beth.
She walks past Ian, Lyla sighs walking out behind her heading to the door
Ian: Love
Maggie: What about you?
Ian pours himself a glass of water.
Maggie: Did you have anyone?
Ian sighs, rolling his eyes.
Ian: No not really. Never had the best luck in relationships before. Had plenty of one night stands though.
