The next day

It was 10 in the morning and Vic texted me earlier saying she would get out of training around 11.

Vic<3

Good morning! I wanted
to let you know that I'll
be done with training at 11.

Good morning:) and that's fine.
I'll let you know when we can
meet up.

Okay. Bye!

Bye👋🏼

I went to the cafe me and Vic went yesterday because I wanted breakfast and coffee. I ordered my food and drink and while I was waiting a person who worked there came up to me.

"How's your day been so far?" She asked me.
"It's been alright. How about yours?"
"Good," she said.
"That's good to hear," I said thinking she would end the conversation there.
"Didn't you come in yesterday?" She asked me.
"Yeah I did. With someone else though."
"Yeah, you were with Victoria." She said.
"You know her?" I said wondering how she knows her.
"Well doesn't everyone. She plays for Arsenal. Her and teammates come here all the time as well."
"Ohhh right. That makes sense."
"I haven't noticed you though. Are you her friend or teammate?" She asked me.
"Her friend. I just met her."
"Well now I understand why I didn't notice you when you came in together."
"Yeah," I said thinking now the conversation would end but she kept talking.
"You didn't hear this from me but there's been rumors going around that she with someone," she whispered to me. I don't know why she was telling me this.
"Is it true?" She asked.
"Um, I don't know. Like I said, I just met her. I don't think we're that close for her to tell me about her personal life. And also I think it's kind of rude you tell me these things about a person if you don't know if they are true. By telling me that you are also spreading rumors," I said to her because I thought that it was rude to tell me something about Vic that is personal. Even if it's true or not I wouldn't want people telling other people about my personal life.
"Sorry it's just something I heard," she said.
"Yeah well maybe next time just keep things to yourself," I said as I grabbed my food and left.

I walked to the park because that's where I texted Vic to meet me. I was there for a while eating my food and thinking about what that girl said to me. I don't know where she heard that from but what if it's true. What if she is seeing someone but why would it matter to me. I mean we are just friends but sometimes I feel like I do like her more than a friend. Maybe she just thinks we're friends and maybe that's the way it should be. If we're friends I'm okay with that because at least I'll have someone here in London who I know. It still hurts to know that she could be with someone because I know deep down, even if I just met her, I have some kind of feeling towards her. I'm a bit upset but it's her life and I don't want to ruin it for her. If she is with someone that's fine and if she isn't I think we should still be friends.

"Hey," someone said as I was looking away from them. I then turned around and saw Vic standing beside me as I was sitting down.
"Oh hi," I said looking at her in a low tone.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just waiting for you," I said not telling the whole truth.
"Oh ok. Well where should we go first to find furniture?"
"I don't know. You tell me. I haven't lived here for that long," I said trying to act happier and forget what that girl told me.
"Right," she laughed and then said, "follow me."

We decided we were going to go to different furniture stores to see different options of what I wanted. Even though I was spending time with her and I should be happy, I wasn't. I couldn't stop thinking about what that girl said. Do I really care that much about Vic being with someone. Why does it make me so upset?

Vic asked me a question that I didn't really here because my mind was somewhere else.

"Taylor?" Vic said.
"Huh?"
"I said, what do you think about this couch?" She said pointing to a white soft couch.
"Oh. I like it," I answered.
"So you thinking of buying it or do you still want to look around for more couches?"
"Yeah, let's look around a bit more."
I wasn't talking much while we were looking at couches. Just saying casual things like "that's nice" or "I like that one." Vic did ask me a few things like "how was my day" and I would answer back with "fine."

"That's pretty much all the thing they have here," Vic said to me.
"Ok I already ordered some things to be shipped to my apartment," I said.
"So where to next? There's another store not to far from here. You want to go there?"
I didn't really want to go anywhere else. I just wanted to go home. Maybe if I slept I would be able to forget about what the girl told me about. I didn't want this to be a big deal but I just couldn't make it stop messing with my emotions.
"I think I got enough things for now and I'll go looking for other things another day," I said.
"Ok, that's fine. Do you want to go get something to eat? I now this really good place," Vic said smiling softly.
"Thanks but I think ima just go home. I'm kind of tired," I said and I was lying.
"I understand. Let me at least walk with you."
"Sure," I said.

We were walking towards my apartment in silence when she spoke.

"Hey. What's wrong?" Vic asked.
"What do you mean?" I said not looking at her.
She stopped walking and then I stopped.
"I just want to know if you're okay. You've been acting different, like I upset  you."
"You didn't upset me and I'm fine. I just really miss my family and my dog," I said lying to her. I didn't want her to think that I feel a certain way towards her so I couldn't tell her the truth.
"Oh. That makes sense. I get what it's like to be far away from people you used to be with all the time."
"Yeah. Sorry if I ruined your day. I shouldn't have let my emotions worry you."
"It's okay. If there is anything going on I want you to tell me. I know we just started to know each other but I think you're cool and I want to continue be friends," she said. Does she want to be just friends or was there someone else she was with?
"Me too," I said.
"You look good today by the way," she said. She was smiling and I couldn't help but smile back. She could make me fall for her so easily and I admit I like her. I like her a lot.
"Thanks. You too," I said.
You know what who cares if she is with someone or not. It might not even be true. I looked at her pretty face and she kept looking at me. I guess we have a thing for staring at each other but it never felt weird. Then she did something I didn't expect. She hugged me and I have to admit it felt nice. It was quick but I enjoyed while it lasted.
"Will I see you at the game tomorrow?" She asked.
"That's right. The Arsenal game is tomorrow. I forgot but yeah I'll be there taking pictures," I said.
"Cool. I'll see you there then."
"Ok, bye!" I said walking off to my apartment.
"Bye!" She said loudly.

Arsenal Vs. Aston Villa

It was the next day and I was ready to take pictures with my camera on the side of the pitch. It was an away game so the gunners would be wearing there new Stella McCartney jersey. It was a beautiful pink and blue jersey. The players were coming on the pitch to warmup and Vic was smiling and then waved at me. I waved back and took a picture. She laughed then continued to warmup.

The game started and within 10 minutes Aston villa scored. The score was 1-0. Even though Aston villa scored Arsenal had most of the ball. They were so close to scoring. I knew it would be coming soon. Then I saw Beattie pass the ball to Lia and then Lia crossed it to Victoria. Vic was running on the wing and right when she was about to cross the ball a player from Aston villa came and slid towards Vic tackling her shins. She shouted loud and I could tell she was hurt by her face in pain. I was worried and was trying to look to see if she was okay but there was players blocking my view. She wasn't getting up and kept holding her shin.
