Today I was going to spend time with my family before they go back to America. I told Drew my family was here visiting me and even though I didn't want her to meet them yet, she told me she insisted for her to meet them. I couldn't say no so Drew is going to come with me and my family to eat and then walk around London. Right now I was at Vic's place helping her set up her new bed frame she just bought.
"One two three!" I yelled out picking up the bed frame as Vic was picking up the other side.
"Right here is good," Vic said as she was putting down the bed.
"Thank God," I said. The bed frame was heavy and even if I tried to show Vic I was strong, I couldn't possibly pick it up by myself.
"Oh come on. It wasn't that heavy."
"Look Vic, I don't go to the gym every week like you do. Give me a break." She laughed and flexed her muscles in front of me.
"Yeah I workout," she said.
"Whatever," I said rolling my eyes and laughing.
"You doing anything today?" Vic asked.
"Yeah, I'm going out with my family and I think Drew is coming to."
"What happened to you not wanting to introduce her yet?"
"Well since I told her my family is here she really wants to meet them and I would feel bad if I said no."
"Oh ok."
As I was looking around her room I saw some pictures she put up of her teammates, her family, and me. We've gotten really close the past month and I don't know where I would be without her in London.
"I look like shit in this picture," I said pointing at the picture of me and her.
"No you don't!"
"Yeah I do. You just don't want to admit it."
"Taylor, you always look good. Even if you don't try," she said.
"Well thank you," I said.
"Um well I think I'm all good with the bed frame. Thanks for helping."
"Yeah of course."

I left Vic's house and then told my family Drew was going to be joining us. They were excited but I hope they don't expect to much from us because I'm not sure if Drew is the one. It would be nice but who knows what's going to happen. Drew met up with us at a restaurant and I'm not going to lie I was a bit nervous of her meeting my family. I saw her waiting for us outside the restaurant.
"Hey Drew," I said going up to her. I went in for a hug and as she said hi back.
"This is my family. My dad, mom, my brother Andrew, and my sister Rylee. Everyone this is Drew," I said introducing them to each other.
"Hello everyone! It nice to meet you all," Drew said waving her hand. My family said hi to Drew and then we all went inside to find a table. We sat down and ordered our food.
"So Drew we heard you're a photographer just like Taylor," my dad said.
"Yes I am. I take pictures of models though not football."
"That's cool. And how did you and Taylor meet?"
"Well we kind of saw each other at the park and began talking about camera stuff and from there you could say we hit it off," she said looking at me with sincerity. I smiled back at her remembering that day.
"Aw that's sweet," Andrew said.
"Shut up," I said back at him.
"Taylor manner please," my mom said.
"Sorry," I said looking down.
"It's cool to see you all are still close. I don't really get along with my family anymore," Drew said.
"Oh I'm sorry," Rylee said.
"It's ok. I'm kind of over it. We really only see each other on the holidays and it's never a happy time when we see each other."
"Well you know if you ever need family we're always here for you," my dad said. It didn't matter how close I was with someone but whenever I had a friend my dad had always been welcoming to them. He cared about the people I was around because he knew they made me happy. I love that the most about him.
"Thank you. You all are very kind people," Drew said.
"Well every friend of Taylor if welcome to the family."
"So are you two just friends or something more?" Rylee said. I really wish sometimes she wouldn't open her mouth.
"Um we're just friends," I said. Drew looked at me confused.
"Actually we are talking. I mean of course we're friends but we are also getting to know each other before we make anything official," Drew said explaining what was going on between us.
"Yeah," I said.
"Ok. Good to know," my mom said. Rylee and Andrew were looking at me like I did something wrong. I looked back at them with a "what?" face. Then they looked disappointed and I just ignored them. The rest of the time as we were in the restaurant, Drew didn't look at me a single bit and I then I started to realize why. I messed up by saying we were just friends. She was upset I didn't tell my family she could've been something more but I was just being honest. We were just friends and I didn't want my family to be too attached to her if it may not work out.

After we ate we went to go walk around near the restaurant. I couldn't stop thinking of what I said earlier. I hurt her feelings and I was the one in the wrong.
"You know you have to make it up to her," Rylee said as she walked beside me.
"Yeah I know."
"Then what are you waiting for."
I went up to Drew who was walking with my parents.
"Hey can I talk to you in private?" I said to her and then looked at my parents.
"We'll be close by," my dad said walking away with my mom.
"Im sorry for what I said earlier. I know I hurt you and I shouldn't have said that," I said looking at her and she still wasn't looking at me.
"Drew? Can you forgive me? I know I should've answered Rylee's question better but I don't know what I was thinking. I was just nervous and I really do like you. I want to get to know you because you're a really cool person, you're beautiful, and well I could say more but you get the point," I said as I stopped walking. She stopped too and then looked at me with a smile.
"I forgive you and maybe I was over reacting. I know you didn't mean it and I really like you too."
The only thing I could think of doing in the moment was grabbing her hand. I looked down and we intertwined fingers. We looked at each other for a few seconds then continued walking.
