Dylan and I headed to our hotel that had two rooms waiting for us. I was ready to go to sleep and start working tomorrow.
The next day I woke up and went to go grab a coffee with Dylan.
"What's your coffee order?" Dylan asked.
"Oat milk latte," I answered.
"Ooo, that sounds good. Ima get that too." I laughed at him and as we grabbed our coffees we decided to go on a walk around London."Soooo... I got a surprise for you," Dylan said with a big smile on his face.
"A surprise? You already took me with you to England. What else could you surprise me with?"
I saw Dylan take out his phone and he showed me an email. It read "Hello, we are happy to inform you that you have a free pass to take pictures at a private training today. For more information click the link below." I gasped and looked at him with an open mouth.
"Is this real?! Are we going to take train in pictures for Arsenal?!" I asked almost dropping my coffee.
Dylan laughed at me saying "Yes, now calm down. I know the game is two days away so I figured I thought I could email them to see if it was possible if we could take some pictures before the game. They saw our portfolios and I guess they liked them."
"I mean they are just training pics if we're being honest," I said wondering why they would let us take pictures just for training.
"True, but maybe they were just being nice since we are two Americans that don't know what to do in London," Dylan said being sarcastic.
I laughed with him as we continued to walk before headed off to take pictures at the Arsenal training ground.Dylan and I didn't bring all our equipment to the training ground since it was just training we didn't need much. We put our things in a cab and drove off. As we arrived at the location they told us to go on the email we got out the car and looked around. We were at London Conley. It was where all Arsenal players usually trained. A person came up to us who looked like they worked there in a golf cart and asked if we needed help. We showed him the email and he took us to where we needed to go. We were introduced to a staff member that first showed us around the training ground and then said we could set up our cameras. We were on the official training pitch where the players would soon come out.
"We are going to be super close to the players," Dylan said. "Like taking pictures at games is one thing but being able to take pictures at training is where you are super close to them," he mentioned. He was right because at games sometimes the players don't score and they're not super close but when they do it is once in a while. Being at training, you could see the players personalities and see them have fun.
"Yeah you're right," I told him. Right when I finished getting my camera ready I saw the players walking towards the pitch. I got in a good position and Dylan was on another side to start taking pictures of them arriving. Some girls throwed up peace signs, waves, some did silly things like piggyback riding another player. I saw one person I think everyone knew, Leah Williamson, showing a big smile to the camera. Behind her there were two girls. They both looked young. One with blond hair and one with brunette. I took a picture of them smiling and laughing with each other. One of them then smiled at me and then headed off to the pitch. It wasn't the blond but the brunette haired one.Taking training pictures was fun because we did get some funny pictures. I liked seeing the players laugh. I also noticed I couldn't stop looking at the brunette girl that smiled at me. The whole training she was laughing and often looked towards my camera. I didn't think much of it and finished taking pictures.
Later that day me and Dylan wanted to go walk at the park and find something to do. We saw so many dogs playing around and people chasing after them. It was hilarious. I then noticed one little brown dog with white on the chest running towards me. I crouched down and talked to the dog with a baby voice.
"Hey there little one," not knowing if it was a girl or boy. I pet the dog and it kept wagging its tail. Dylan also bent down to pet the dog.
"Myle! Myle!" I heard someone yell out.
I looked up and it was her. The brunette girl that kept looking at me at the training ground. She saw the dog and then saw me.Authors note
