A week later

It's already been a few days since my family left and I have to say I do miss them but I don't feel like leaving with them. I love it here in London and the places I've been and people I've met made me fall in love with this city even more. Plus meeting Drew also made me want to stay here even more.

Today Chelsea was going to go against Arsenal in the conti cup. It's the quarterfinals and all I want is for London to be red today. I know me and Drew won't be in agreement today since she goes for Chelsea but it doesn't matter to me because rivals are rivals. It's kind of fun to go for different clubs because we can make fun of each other.

I was at Drew's place sitting on the couch beside her. We were watching a random movie we weren't paying attention to because we were too busy talking about the match later on today.
"Do you really think Chelsea is going to be Arsenal?" I said about to laugh at Drew.
"Oh please! We have as much of a chance just like you guys do. It's not going to be an easy match for both," Drew said confidently.
I then bursted out laughing and she wasn't too happy about that.
"Ok laugh all you want but when we beat you today I'll be the one laughing," she said looking annoyed at me.
"Whatever you say!" I said joking around but Drew didn't like that. She actually looked annoyed.
"Hey... you know I'm just joking. I know both teams could possibly win today. I just wanted to be funny about it," I said taking her hand and looking at her even though her face was facing the tv instead of me.
"I know. I just fucking hate it when my team loses to big clubs like Arsenal or Man City. It actually gets me upset."
She looked at me and then had a soft smile. I stared at her longer and we both slowly got close enough to where I could feel her breath touch my face. We kissed and it was calm and gentle but it was also nice. We then slowly backed up and we were smiling at each other. I couldn't help but let out a little laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Drew said with a confused but happy face.
"I don't know," I said still laughing.
She then started to laugh too and we continued watch tv.

5 hours later

I was at the emirates and the match was going to start soon. I had a pretty good spot on the field to take pictures and like always I texted Vic "good luck" before the game. It's kind of like a ritual now and it seems to work because Arsenal have been winning all of there games. I have no doubts that their winning streak will end today but if I'm being honest Chelsea is a tough opponent.

The match started and it was looking pretty good for both teams. Both have had chances so far but early on in the 8th minute Arsenal had the ball in the box. Vic had to turn around Chelsea defenders and then she passed the ball to Beth. Beth made some pace and shot the ball over a Chelsea defender and put the ball in the back of the net. Arsenal have the lead in the 8th minute! They came running to the crowd on the left corner. I was quick to take some pictures of them and they began to regroup. 5 minutes later Chelsea scored. It was now tied up and both teams kept having chances to score. Then in the 36th minute Amanda Ilestedt scored then 2 minutes later Alessia Russo scored from the left side of the field. The Arsenal were up 3-1 before have time ended. It was second half and there were many opportunities for other teams but in the 74th minute Arsenal were given a penalty. Alessia Russo took it and SCORED! The score was now 4-1 and the whistle blew that ended the match.

I was so happy Arsenal ended up winning but of course I knew Drew wasn't to happy about it. I wasn't too focused on her right now because my club won! As the players were celebrating on the field I took one of my disposable cameras taking pictures of them celebrating. I went up to Vic taking a picture of her and Alessia. Alessia then left to go with the other girls.
"Congratulations on the win," I said to Vic.
"Thanks," she said with a big grin on her face.
"Of course. You played amazing. You deserved it. You gonna go celebrate?"
"Uh not right now. I think later I'm going to hang with the girls."
"Oh well maybe we can hangout like actually hangout. I know we haven't really spent much time together," I said genuinely wanting to spend time with her.
"Yeah... sure. I would like that," Vic said.
"Ok great. I'll text you."

An hour later me and Vic were at a coffee shop just like old time even if it hasn't been that long it sure felt like it.
"So how have you been?"
"Don't act like it's been months since we've seen each other," Vic said giggling.
"No but even if it's only been two weeks it's felt longer. I miss our talks," I said.
"Yeah but I know you've been more busy the longer you live here in London."
"Sure but that's no excuse to stop seeing you. I've just been spending more time with Drew."
"Right. How are you guys doing?" Vic asked.
"We're doing good. I'm actually thinking of asking her out officially," I said smiling.
"Really?" Vic said as her smile slightly faded.
"Yeah I think it's time. We've been getting closer and I'm getting to know her more and yeah I just really like her."
"That's, that's good for you. I'm happy for you Tay," she said than looked away.
"Thanks but to be honest I'm pretty nervous. I'm not sure how to ask her. I want it to be special."
"Well I would tell you to just tell her how you feel but since you want it to be special, what I would do is take her somewhere she likes and maybe a gift that has something to do with her and to tell her all the things you like about her," Vic said.
"Wow that's a great idea, but how would I even start the conversation?" I asked her.
"Well that's why you have me. We can practice," she said sitting up like she was in a restaurant with me. I laughed but then I did the same.
"Just follow my lead," Vic said.
"You got it," I said smiling.
"So this is a nice place you brought me to," Vic said in character.
"Yeah... I thought it would be good to take you somewhere thats beautiful like you," I said as Vic blushed a little.
"That's very kind of you."
"Well you know you are beautiful and ever since I met you my life has changed completely for the better. You've made me comfortable when I came to a new country that I wasn't comfortable in at first, You let me meet your friends so I didn't have to be alone, and I've loved getting to know you and how you love dogs like me, getting to know about your country and your beautiful flowers, how you much you love matcha even though it's disgusting, watching you at your games and how much you enjoy playing and I'm just grateful I was able to meet someone like you. Will you maybe want to be my girlfriend?" I said to Vic and there was a little silence. I didn't realize that everything I said was about Vic and not about Drew. Vic looked at me like it was somewhat real. Then I broke the silence.
"How did I do?" I said.
Vic was nodding her slowly then spoke.
"Good. That was good. Just one problem."
"What's that?" I said confused.
"You were describing me not Drew."
"Oh. Shit I'm sorry." I said realizing what I did. I guess know a lot about Vic which makes sense because she was the first person I met here who became my friend.
"It's fine. Let's just try again," Vic said reassuring me.
"This sure is a lovely place."
"Yeah I wanted to bring you somewhere special."
"Oh is there a special occasion I don't know about?" Vic said in character.
"Yes. I wanted to let you know how I feel about you in this very moment."
"Really? And how's that?"
"Well you're beautiful and I love that I was able to meet you. When I first saw you I mean I just thought you're pretty and kind and now getting to spend more time with you I've enjoyed it. And also just getting to know you and how you... um.. like how you- I mean you are... um...," I couldn't think of anything to say to describe her.
"What's wrong?" Vic asked.
"Sorry I just needed to think of things that I know about her," I said scratching my neck.
"Ok just take your time."
I then started to think and I only thought of a few things.
"Oh! I like that you like football too and we'll even though you go for Chelsea it's fun to have a little rivalry. I also like your laugh and your smile and you take pictures just like me. That's pretty cool so will you date me like be my girlfriend?" I said awkwardly. Vic didn't look too convinced and maybe I had to work on that.
"Yeah maybe you just forgot a few things about her. It will be way smoother once you start remembering and practicing, Vic said.
"Yeah but the first time went well. I mean it practically felt real," I said.
"Well you've known me longer so of course it's going to be easier. We'll keep practicing okay?"
"Okay. Thanks for the help Vic."
"No problem," she said then took a sip of her matcha.
