Three weeks later

I started reminiscing on the fact that me and Drew have been acting very couply like we're together even though we aren't officially dating. Every day I am with her I get to know her more and more. It's crazy to think my first relationship is like this. I feel good around Drew and I'm not sure how our relationship will turn out but right now I think I'm ready to ask her to be my girlfriend. I already have reservations for a fancy restaurant and I told Drew to wear something nice because I was taking her out somewhere. Now all I have to do is pick her up and hope today goes well.

I drove to her place and picked her up. She looked beautiful and in my mind, I couldn't wait to ask her to date me.

"You look amazing," I said as I opened the door for her.
"Thank you. You look good as always," Drew said giving me a smirk and getting in the car.
I got in the car and started to drive to the restaurant.
"So... where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere nice," I said keeping my eyes on the road.
"Ughhh. Why can't you just tell me."
"All you have to know is that it's a nice restaurant."
"Okay. Are we on a date?" Drew asked.
I smiled still keeping my eyes on the road then looked at her real quick.
"You could call it that."

We arrived at the restaurant and quickly got seated since I already reserved seats. I had to make sure me and Drew dressed nicely for the restaurant so we didn't look underdressed. I looked around and saw everyone with high-quality clothes. I'm pretty sure Drew also noticed as I saw her look around too.

"Good thing you told me to dress nice," Drew said.
"Yeah, I tried my best to find a place like this to take you to. I don't know many places in London."
"Well you could've asked Vic," Drew said.
"I guess. I just wanted to do this on my own," I said as my cheeks started to feel red.
"That's sweet. Thank you and I can tell that there is something important going on since you took me here," Drew said looking around the place again at the fancy people who probably are billionaires.
"Yeah there is something I wanna ask you but that can wait for after we eat."
Drew had a questionable face like she was trying to figure out why I brought her here. I do think she already knows why we're here. I wanted to make today special so that's why we're here in this restaurant and then after I'm planning to go on a nice walk and then ask her.

"You know the first time I saw you and you went up to me I thought you were another person who wanted a one-night stand," Drew said making me almost spit my water out.
"Why would you think I wanted a one-night stand? Did you think I'm that kind of person?" I said laughing.
"It wasn't you. It's just that, believe it or not, I would have a lot of people just come up to me to have one-night stands."
"And would you go?" I asked not knowing if this question was too serious to ask.
"Yeah... I would," she said looking down.
I felt bad for Drew. She has never had a real relationship with someone and if she has it has been a while. I am glad that that can change for her and that I'm the one that helps her change that.
"It's different this time... right?"
"Yeah. It is."

After chatting while eating food that tasted like a million dollars me and Drew was ready to go. I paid for our food which to no surprise was expensive. Then we went on a walk to talk more and we also got some ice cream. I was ready to ask her. Everything today has gone well. She looks beautiful, we ate at a fancy restaurant, went on a walk, and now I have to end it off perfectly. I know I've been waiting for the right time to come and now I know it's finally here.

We were walking to the car as our date was over or so Drew thought it was. As our hands were intertwined and we got closer to the car I started to get nervous. My heart was beating faster than usual because I wasn't sure what Drew was going to say but also because I'd never done this before. Drew was about to go in the car but I stopped her. I pulled her from her arm and she had a confused look on her face.

"What are you doing?" She asked stepping away from the car and closer to me.
I then reached into the back seat to grab the flowers I bought before picking Drew up. Her face was still confused but soon she'll understand everything. I held the flowers in front of my body perfectly centered.
"I wanted to tell you something... and then ask you something," I said.
Drew nodded her head allowing me to go on.
"I've been wanting to do this since I first saw you but I first wanted to get to know you. Since then I got to know that you're kind and caring and you love to remind me how beautiful I am even if I don't look good all the time. You let me know whatever's going on in your mind so I know that I can tell you everything too. I also love that you are understanding about everything and you let me have my own time to myself. You're also beautiful even if I don't say it often,"
I paused for a second and then said, "I want to be with you... Will you be my girlfriend?"
Drew was silent for a few seconds but then a smile grew on her face and she came even closer to me. She leaned in and kissed me which lasted a good minute. We were both smiling now as she backed away.
"So... I'm guessing that's a yes?" I asked still holding the flowers.
Drew giggled and said, "Yes."
I gave her the flowers and we got in the car to leave.
"Finally," she said grabbing my hand that wasn't on the steering wheel.

Today felt like a fairy tale or a dream that came true. I like Drew a lot and I know she feels the same way. I know I'm finally ready to have something real with someone and now that person is Drew.
