Let me care for you
until
the earth shakes
and
the mountains hide
and
the rapture comes
and
we're left behind.Cursed to hell,
our rotted existence
plagues
an already fallen world -
but I cannot turn you away,
so
I let the fire bite me.I know you think yourself lowly,
nothing but a sin -
but
you are the blessing
that my life has been demanding
since my heart learned to break.A soft red rose that many
passed by or abused,
but
I choose to choose
because
I understand more
than they that
beauty is so worth cherishing.
Let me redden your petals
and breath to my friends
until
they beg for my repetitious song to end.Come! Let us hide from the world!
Let the heavens wonder
where we have fled,
dared to try
to escape the eyes
we cannot see
that
look down to us in scorn.
Holding hands and running,
we find solace in
then other's existence.Don't make me endure
the end of time
alone -
but let us carve out
extra days
to lie in each other's gaze.
