I love you.
You're ability to shine,
and make the world
seem brighter,
lighter,
full of infinite possibilities.
"Just maybe,"
I think
if I try I can get there."
You did,
despite of the stones that
you could have fallen on.I love you.
You're full of grace,
full of wit.
You charm the world,
and like an audience,
I'm in on the act.
(Show me how you've
mastered the Siren's song!)I hate you.
I hate the way I feel so small.
I scratch at the walls.
Why can't I do it all?
Why is the ground

under my feet,
breaking,
but you walk
on cement - sturdy?I hate you.
I hate the emptiness
that I no longer can forget,
loneliness sneaking up
behind me, whispering.I hate you.
I hate that when I'm next
to you,
I feel like a cheap
imitation,
a copy gone wrong.
Someone meant to clone you-
Oops!
Send it back to the seller.
This one's broken.
Maybe I'm beyond repair.
Throw me in the trash
with everything else
unwanted.Being around you
is...complicated.
