Her lips scream of a liar.
I don't know if she means
what she says
or if she's just playing
a strange game
of poker.She rules with
an iron fist
whilst
convincing us
her touch is feather-light.
"Don't worry, my darlings,"
she coos
"I'm here to make
everything right."Maybe I'm the only one
who can see through this charade-
but I refuse to believe
a talking snake
that
tells me to eat.Lady Saraswati warns me
of
fiends like you:
"Don't trust all that you hear,
for it could be your demise,"
so
I sit back and listen
whilst
you chatter off,
reading your book
and
seeing through your disguise.
