The week went by in a flash, but in slow motion and in a blur at the same time. Because everybody is still in disbelief, mourning and trying to get on with they lifes at the same time.
Mommy came up the next day after I gave her the news. And has been here ever since, between Cherry Gardens and Jacks Hill. She and Miss Maureen has been up and down with Tony two sisters from England (he had a brother, but he died at a young age) getting everything together for the burial which is this Saturday at Dovecot Memorial Park.
Candice can't do much and now she's mad at Jubba for getting her pregnant. Then throw a full on tantrum saying it her hormones. Which is the only time I can remember us laughing last week.
Other family members are there doing their part as well as friends. Like Uncle Sunny who wish everyday that he was the one to go first.
It's Thursday morning and these day I rarely see Zidane. He's gone before I am up in the mornings and comes in when am asleep. And if I do catch him it's at night when i am tired from doing my regular nine to five and trying to manage two restaurant. So it's a quick chat like yuh good? How everything going? Yuh sure yuh good? ...And that's it.
I know he's just trying to keep himself busy with things to do, but I know each time either one of us pause Tony's all we think about.
Take a quick shower I head downstairs to feed Ice and the fishes. I really don't have any appetite later. So I slice up some fruit put them in a bowl and head back upstairs to get ready. With the idea to just have breakfast at work or better yet an early lunch.
Walking into the closet I grab a black skinny jeans, black turtleneck blouse and some black suede ankle boots with a black burberry handbag.
