Anntonia's POV:

'Great things happen to those who want it. I'm sorry if we have to do this, Anntonia. Please know that this is the last thing I'll ever let to happen if I only have other choice, because you do know what I want, and it is to always be with you.

But right now, what I want is for you to be safe. I know that as long as she's around, it is not possible. But staying away for a while will less likely trigger her, and that's the least I could do.

I am sorry.

I'm sorry if I can't meet you tonight, and the nights after this.

But I am not taking back the confessions I made. I meant all of them.

Everytime something bothers you, you can just always roam your eyes around, and you'll see that I'm just there.

Sincerely yours,
Dee <3'

It has been minutes since I received this letter alongside a 'room'-made bento box consisting of my favorite fruits and side snacks. But no matter how many times I read it, it still rip my heart apart multiple times.

It breaks my heart to imagine what happened after when someone suspiciously approached her ealier. I did have a gut feeling that they weren't telling the truth that they just needed her for promotions.

I knew that someone is up to no good again.

I want to hurt myself for putting the woman I love in this kind of situation. She's the one who's getting too affected by the unsettled past that Max and I have. We could've been so happy if I tried to contact Max ahead of time and clear it to her that I am no longer hoping for her love. I can stay as her friend, but I quit being her go-to toy whenever she's lonely.

"Anntonia... Do you want me to plan something with Fabienne? We can help." Miss Laos offered. I wasn't facing her, but I know that my sobs are quite loud, so I'm sure that it was distracting her. I wiped my tears away and breathed in and out.

"As much as I want to see her, let's just play it safe. I know that her connections are just everywhere, spying on us so they could have something to report to that woman." I weakly said. I feel like I will have a fever because of how intense I am feeling.

"She probably loved you so much. It's like she's never over your past."

"That's the thing that makes this hilarious. She never loved me like I did."

Miss Laos stayed silent. I thought she was just speechless, but I felt someone moving on my bed. I sensed that she was coming to me, and I saw her sit beside me. I looked away so that she wouldn't see my swollen eyes.

"That's life and its unfair way of flowing. There are people who want to take and take the love, but the only thing they could give you back is to hate you when you stop loving them," Miss Laos said, staring at the wall. I guess she knows that I don't want to be seen in this state.

"Do I not have the right to be loved the same way I love? Now that I am getting it, why does she have to intrude and ruin it?"

"I do think before that you and Michelle have always been a thing. I even thought that you guys are too good for each other. It's like you're complementing each other, just like a perfect pair," Miss Laos paused. "But every perfect start needs to go through a bumpy road, don't you think?"
