As they were enjoying their lunch, Jungkook asked how the renovation work was.

-it's tough but I love it. Everyone is so much hard working; I am glad to have a team like that !

Taehyung had been surprised one day when his father called him. it was not so long after his mother visited him, and his father took the opportunity to offer them their wedding gift : they would pay all the renovations. It was the least they could do for their son. After some calls, his father sent him a project manager who brought with him all the trades they would need. Few days later, Taehyung's project with little modifications had been approved and the construction work began.

-So, did you already remove the red paint?

-oh, yes, and it took a time, they had to cover it with 4 white layers to erase it... I think it's the most awful room I have ever seen... said Taehyung, nodded for himself.

-oh no ! I remember this house ! oh God, I managed to forget it but now I remember it ! nooooo...

The omega was now whining and pouting, making the alpha laugh at him.

-stop laughing at me like that! You don't know how ugly and dreadful it was !

I have shivers down my spine now I am thinking of it, he said, closing his eyes.

-tell me. How could it be uglier?

Taehyung opened his eyes, looking at him like he was so dead about it.

-don't complain once I would tell you. You asked for it.

Jungkook hold a giggle on, and folded his arms, waiting for the omega to tell him.

-ok. This day, my mother asked me to come with her to see an old friend of her. I was sixteen then, and she saw how much I was struggling to have friends... I think she wanted to make me forget my loneliness... anyway, she trapped me with the promise to have a cup of tea and yummy cakes, the lady having some skills in cooking. When we arrived, the house was...normal ? even ordinary I would say. But when we came in... oh my God. Imagine. The whole living room was...hum... how to say that? The lady had a huge interest on stripes. Animal stripes. There were everywhere. On the walls. Carpets on the floor. Curtains. Couch. Cushions on the couch. Plaid on the couch. Sculptures and paints like tigers, zebras... everywhere, stripes. I thought I would throw up, my head spinning because my brain couldn't understand what that was...

Meanwhile Tae's description, Jungkook was laughing heartily, and this sound was so new for the omega that he couldn't stop talking to make the alpha laugh again and again.

After 5 minutes, both stopped laughing, exhausted.

-I wish to be here with you to witness this gorgeous living room !

-no no no, believe me, it's something which gave you a traumatic experience, don't wish for it !

Taehyung looked at his phone and when he saw what time it was, he stood up and cleared the coffee table, with Jungkook's help.

-so, I will come eat with you as soon as I can if it's fine with you.

-Tae, you don't hav...

-I know, I just want to share my lunch with you. Not every single day, don't worry.

And he left the office after this last sentence.
