Y/n, as an experienced maid, was constantly working hard at cleaning, cooking and assisting the residents of the estate.

She had been working here for years, having been invited here by Thoma, a resident who had become a dear friend and colleague of hers.

As such, she was very familiar with the inner workings of the household, and always had the best interests of the family in mind. She felt fortunate to be able to serve such a kind and respected family, and always aimed to be as useful as possible.

One day, Y/n got sick but decided not to tell the others about it especially Ayaka since they'll be worried about her, so Y/n acts normally enough during her work time.

As Y/n carried out her duties as a maid, she could not help but feel dizzy and light-headed. She had been feeling this way for the last couple of days, and she did not want to worry the others by telling them about it.

As such, she carried on with her work, trying her best to avoid any suspicious behaviour. However, the longer she worked, the more her condition seemed to worsen and Y/n resolve began to waver.

It was not long before Y/n's attempts at concealing her sickness became harder to hide. Her pale complexion, heavy breathing and fatigue were starting to become more obvious, and Y/n was finding it increasingly difficult to focus on her work.

Ayaka had noticed Y/n's ill condition, and began to approach her, intending to make sure she was safe.

She knew Y/n well enough to know that she would not admit to being sick, and so Ayaka needed to ensure that her maid was given the care and attention she needed.

As Ayaka approached, Y/n was still trying her best to conceal her sickness, not wanting to be a burden to others. She knew that Ayaka was a busy lady, and always had important matters to take care of, hence Y/n was reluctant to admit to needing help.

However, when Ayaka came close, she could already sense her maid's sickly condition, and she could see that Y/n was now visibly struggling to maintain even a normal appearance.

“Is everything alright, Y/n?” Ayaka approached Y/n, showing genuine concern for the maid's wellbeing.

She knew Y/n was a hardworking and reliable person, and she couldn't just ignore the signs of her condition worsening.

I'm... fine... My lady...” Y/n insisted.

“Are you certain?” Ayaka could hear the weakness in Y/n's voice and could see that the maid was visibly unsteady and weary.

It was obviously hard for Y/n to even stand up by herself.

“I think you should rest. I have already covered your remaining tasks for now. Please go to your room, you can rest— no, you need to get some rest...”

“My lady... There's no need for you to worry... I'm...” Y/n quickly clutched her head in pain.

Ayaka was shocked to see that her maid's efforts to conceal her ailment were suddenly in vain.

When the pain seemed to be too great for Y/n to bear, she quickly slumped to the floor. Her heavy breathing and the beads of sweat on her forehead made it clear that her condition was far more serious than she expected.

Ayaka rushed to Y/n's side, bending down to check on her.

“My lady... I don't wanna burden you due to my condition, I'll take it from here–”

“Y/n.” Ayaka said firmly, then continued to cradle Y/n's body but gently laid her down on the bed, making sure that she was comfortable and that she had everything she needed.
