Jingliu looks at you, with the black veil covering her eyes, blocking her cold expression. She solemnly reached for her blade in a slow motion before stopping.
"You should not have found me, Traitor."
Her gaze was cold and unyielding. Her heart raced with an urge to kill and destroy, a result of the mara's curse.
"W-what? No, Jingliu I-"
Jingliu's hand clenched the hilt of her sword tighter. The mara's curse made her breathing shallow. With a sudden burst of speed, she lunged towards you, her sword aimed at your heart.
You immediately block her attack.
"Stop it. I didn't betray you. I only did that to protect you."
Jingliu's sword paused mid-air, but the killing intent in her eyes did not abate.
"Speak the truth. Prove to me with action, not words." She lunged at you again.
"...."
You took a deep breath before dropping your sword to the ground and slowly caressed her cheeks.
"Jingliu, my love..." You whispered.
Although Jingliu remained vigilant, her heart still racing with the urge to kill. She did not let her guard down, even for a moment.
"Prove it." Her voice wavered between her own and the mara's.
You just sighed before slowly leaning in to kiss her.
This action made her fought against the urge to kill you, but she couldn't control the mara's curse. She felt as if her body was betraying her, as if she was going to strike you down.
"No... You're lying..."
"My love... how can I lie to you when all I ever did was to protect you?" You asked with all honesty.
However, Jingliu's killing intent intensified. She couldn't let go of the urge to attack.
"No... you're lying... you betrayed me..." She drew her sword once more, her movements becoming more violent and erratic.
"I had to..."
You managed to grab hold of her sword but placing your hand on the edges was a bad idea that it made a small cut on your palm though that isn't important to you right now.
"Jingliu... Listen to me-"
"NO! You're lying!" She pulled back her sword, preparing to strike once more, when she noticed the blood on your hand.
"What have you done?" She asked with a widened eyes.
You just hid your wounded palm to your back and slowly approach her.
"This is nothing major. Jingliu... Please, I am not your enemy... It is just the mara taking an effect on you and corrupting your mind in saying that I am. You have to believe me..."
"Believe you?" She scoffed, her eyes filled with madness and betrayal.
"You're the one who wants to destroy everything I hold dear! I won't let you!"
"Jingliu..!"
You quickly removed her veil away and kiss her again. Her body was stiff and unwilling, but she couldn't help but respond in kind.
"No. You're not-"
"Yes, I am... I'm Y/n, your only lover."
You kissed her again deeply to calm her down.
Jingliu's heart raced as she felt her body reacting to your kiss despite her confusion and anger.
She tried to push you away, but it was getting harder to resist the desire that still lingered between her.
You managed to let her drop her sword to the ground before slipping your tongue in
"It's me. it's always me. Remember my voice."
Jingliu's breathing quickened, and she could feel herself growing aroused again despite the madness clouding her thoughts. She bit her lower lip, unable to deny the feelings that were flooding back.
"Y/n... I want you..."
"Shh... I know... and I'm right here... I won't go anywhere..." You whispered.
Jingliu then let out a moan, unable to resist any longer. Her body yearning for the feeling she had long suppressed.
"I miss you..."
"...I missed you too, but you should calm down first, okay?"
You tied back the veil on to her eyes again.
"No... I can't..." She couldn't help but sob as she remembered the pain and heartbreak of the past.
"You left me... you left me... I can't go back to that..."
You just sighed before slowly lifting her chin.
"Jingliu... You know that's not true. I was on a mission back then. I'm sorry if I didn't inform you... if I ever made you worried... and... I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from the past..."
"No, you could have told me... why didn't you?" She looked away, unable to meet your eyes.
"I just want things to go back to how they were..."
"And it will... the concept of time may have consumed us, but as long as I'm here... I'll be your guide to redemption." You exclaimed.
"I'm not sure if I can ever be redeemed..." She whispered, her voice filled with sorrow and despair.
You stayed silent for a moment before grabbing her hand altogether with yours.
"If things doesn't go out as planned, then we'll go down together... I don't want you to ever walk on this journey alone again..."
"Easier said than done... I'm a traitor... they'll never forgive me..." She said with mix of saddened and cold tone while trying to pull away from your embrace.
"Traitor or not. You're still the woman I fell in love with. Before beginning this journey, we made a promise that we will walk on this journey until the very end together. and I will keep that promise."
This made her smile- a small tear sneaking down her cheek as she embraces you tightly, not wanting to ever let go of you again.
