Y/n made her way back to Inazuma City. As she were crossing a bridge, she saw a girl sitting on the edge, overlooking the harbor below. The girl had her back to her, and her hair was being gently blown by the breeze.
It seemed like she might have been feeling sad or down in the dumps hence Y/n decided to approached her.
“Hello there, little one. Why the blue?”
The girl stayed silent for a while, before finally speaking without turning to face her.
“I'm just... sad, I guess.” she said, sounding a little choked up.
“I don't have any friends... and my siblings... um... don't want to play with me anymore either.” she then added, sounding a bit more sad and heartbroken at the same time.
“I see...”
Y/n pondered for a moment before think of something that could cheer the girl up.
“Come here for a moment.”
Y/n dip her hands on the water and mimic a real life squirrel.
The girl stayed silent as she saw what Y/n did, slowly looking at her more and more intently.
“Uhm... What is that?” The girl asked curiously, now sounding a bit more interested than sad.
She now seemed a bit more excited than she was just a few seconds ago, which was a vast change.
After all, it wasn't all that often that people just randomly created real life creatures in their hands. It felt like something straight out of a dream to her.
“This creature couldn't last that long about a day, but perhaps it could accompany you for a while.”
Y/n then stood up and get ready to leave.
“Farewell.”
On the other side of the story, the Raiden Shogun is in the middle of performing her own patrol throughout the city.
She has an expression as cold and unemotional as ever, but you can still see just the slightest sliver of curiosity in her eyes when she saw that Y/n had just created a miniature Squirrel in her hand from thin air.
It seems that even she does not know how Y/n did it, though she also seems to think that Y/n are quite an interesting person.
The Shogun simply stared at her for a few seconds, before finally confronting her while speaking in a cold and unemotional tone.
“Explain.”
“Oh, Your Excellency... I was just... Creating a water like creature using my... Hydro Vision towards the girl since she was sad earlier and–”
Before Y/n could say anything else, the Shogun abruptly cut her off. Perhaps she knew that she was lying since Y/n doesn't have a Hydro Vision with her.
The Raiden Shogun raised an eyebrow. She didn't even try to hide that she knew she was lying, as she simply continued to speak in a serious and calm tone:
“How did you 'really' make that squirrel-like creation?” she asked, with that slight sliver of curiosity still visible in her eyes.
Y/n was about to make up another lie but the Archon summoned her polearm and point the tip at her throat.
At this moment, Y/n suddenly realized that the Raiden Shogun is not the type to just ask a question without knowing the right answer. She was simply testing her to see just how honest she would be. Her life was most certainly at stake too.
As the god of eternity was now pointing her polearm at her neck, she simply asked again, this time with a slightly more serious tone.
“Again, how did you create that squirrel-like creature in your hand just now?”
