Three Strings Attached - Bronya & Seele

You are the Trailblazer who just save Belobog— which includes the overworld and underworld. Now, Seele and Bronya invited you to meet with them, telling you that they would like to give you a gift as a token of their appreciation for saving their people.

A smile curved on your lips as the two greeted you and walked over to you, each holding a box of chocolate. You nodded at Bronya, the silver-haired girl, as she held out the box of milk chocolate to you. However, you also couldn't help but notice Seele glancing down at the floor. You wondered what was wrong with her.

Then you noticed the purple hue on her cheeks, and the fact that she couldn't meet your gaze.

“These are for you,” Bronya explained as she handed you the box.

“Thank you, although...” You looked at Seele who seems to be leaving the hall before turning your gaze to Bronya.

“Where is Seele going? I thought the both of you have already came in turns a few weeks ago. Why the sudden change? Or am I just being delusional right now..?”

Bronya turned her head to glance at Seele as she left to go outside, sighing slightly as she returned her attention to you.

“She's... not doing very well recently,” Bronya explained.

“She says she just needs some space to clear her head. She's had some stress.”

You thought for a moment before you made your decision.

“I'll talk to her,” you told her. “Maybe being with a friend will help.”

You then made your way out of the hall to find Seele standing at a balcony, overlooking the city from below.

Her arms were folded tightly across her chest, and she stared out at the lights that shined in the dark.

You could see the hurt and pain reflected in her eyes. It was clear that she was troubled, but you still had the sense that she wanted something. Perhaps it was time to finally mend their friendship.

“Seele, hope I'm not intruding right now.” You said.

Seele just jolted from her spot, turning to look at you quickly before she took a breath for a moment and let it out in a sigh.

“No, no... You're fine,” she replied, running her fingers through her hair to fix it back into place.

“I'm just... thinking.”

She turned away from you to stare back out at the city, as if trying to get her mind off things.

“Well, I know this isn't my place to ask you directly, but... I was quite concerned a while back when you suddenly left, so I came here to check on you. I hope you and Bronya didn't had some sort of argument..?”

Seele shook her head which made you tilted your head, looking at her somewhat curiously as you sensed something else was also troubling her. But it also seemed like she didn't want to say anything about it.

“Well... there is another reason why I left,” she said quietly, her fingers curling into the fabric of her sleeves. “It's nothing for you to worry about, though. I can handle it on my own.” She stated.

Now, it was clear that she was trying hard to keep it together, even if her demeanor and expression suggested otherwise.

“Seele...”

You reach for her hands and clasp it together with yours.

“I know you for a few months and I could tell that's something is really troubling you even you wouldn't want to admit it. Please, if your problem is not with Bronya then tell me so I can help you.”
