[Y/n's PoV]

My gaze falls upon an elegant woman seated at a desk. She's striking in appearance, with light blue hair that is streaked with a deeper shade of blue.

As she becomes aware of my presence, she looks down with and lets out a proud smile and spoke with a cheerful attitude.

“Greetings! I, Focalors is welcoming you here. You may have already knew what the others have called me, yes? Now, what can I do for you?”

The Archon in front of me seemed innocent and sweet, but I couldn't help but to notice that something may be hidden behind that sweet innocence.

“Your Grace, Monsieur Neuvillette has tasked me to watch over you for a while since his presence was requested by the duke at the Fortress of Meropide.”

“...Oh? The duke of Meropide? What does the duke need with a judge like Neuvillette?”

The god raises an eyebrow in curiosity as to this urgent matter and waits for my answer.

“He didn't give me enough info to explain much, Your Grace. He only appointed me to watch over you in case you do anything... out of the blue, he says.” I explained.

There, I notice Focalors' expression change dramatically. From a kind face filled with innocence to a rather cold one that hints of something more sinister.

“I do not take lightly to a mortal watching over me while I do my duties. And Neuvillette must have a good explanation to appoint you as a babysitter like this when you could've been doing something else.” Her tone was suggesting that she is not happy about this.

“How long will you be staying with me?” She added with a curious gaze.

“After he returns, Your Grace.” I answered.

Focalors just gives me a curt nod and stares ahead with a neutral expression. I cannot help but feel like she is silently judging all of my actions. She also seems somewhat distant from me. As if her guard is already up against any strangers who enter her personal space.

“Very well. Make yourself comfortable. And don't touch anything without asking for permission.”

I nodded with a bow. “Of course, Your Gra–”

“Oh, you know what, doing nothing is boring. How about you'll join me for some cup of tea and eat sweets while we wait for him?” Focalors stated and invited me.

“But Your Grace–”

Before I could say anything more, she hushed me with her index finger and a smile appears on Furina's face as she gets up from her seat.

She leads me towards the kitchen where an elaborate teapot sits on top of the dining table.

“Please, have a seat. I have a selection of sweets that were sent as gifts for the nation. You are welcome to take as many as you like.”

Wait— what's with the sudden change of hospitality?

“That won't be necessary, Your Grace. After all, I am just here to accompany you for a while.”

“Hmm... very well.”

Furina then grabs a pair of cups from the side table and begins to brew the tea.

“Since you're here, tell me your name. It's always good to know the names of the people who accompany me.”

“...Y/n, Your Grace.” I answered.
