In the past hundred years, there is a strong godly couple— the goddess of wisdom, and the goddess of moon. The two were completely opposite personalities, yet they love each other unconditionally.
The goddess of wisdom was known for her wisdom and her knowledge while the goddess of moon was known for her compassion and combat abilities. They loved each other very much and they always cared for each other but they had opposite opinions when it came to ruling their country. Although it is said that they got along so well because they balanced each other out.
However, something happened along the way that caused their relationship to sour. And that involves the Cataclysm that happened during their time.
Yes, the goddess of moon and the goddess of wisdom were both present during the cataclysm. The two of them had different opinions about how to handle the situation. The goddess of moon was more inclined towards fighting back against the forces of the cataclysm while the goddess of wisdom favored diplomacy.
They both wanted to save their country and they both cared deeply about their people, but they had different approaches and they got into a disagreement.
"Bu'er, the situation is becoming more out of hand. Monsters kept coming and attacking our people, while the forbidden knowledge is greatly affecting our people's mental health as well." The goddess of moon states with concern in her voice.
"I understand your concern, Y/n, but I believe we should continue to keep calm and try to find a solution through peaceful means. If we resort to violence, then we risk making the situation even worse." Rukkhadevata explained.
"If we remain calm and collective, we will be able to come up with a better solution, one that will take the best interest of our people into account." She added.
However, the goddess of moon just sighs in response and folded her arms.
"Bu'er, you're not listening to me. I know you cannot accept bloodshed, but there is no other options— not only our people are being corrupted, but the land as well. If we don't do something more advanced, then we could lose both of it."
Rukkhadevata then looked away from her lover, "...I understand that our situation is dire, but I am afraid that resorting to violence might lead to even worse conclusions."
"We need to find a peaceful solution to address this issue. We must not let our fear and panic cause us to lose control and do something we will regret." Rukkhadevata insisted.
As the goddess of wisdom and the goddess of the moon argued over the best course of action during the cataclysm, the disagreements led to tensions between the two.
"...Bu'er, the other gods have already found a solution by killing those monsters and find the source of this invasion, and Celestia ordered me to help them so I agreed." Y/n said.
"But my dear, I do not think this is the best course of action. We must seek to find another solution other than resorting to violence–"
"No, I must do this whether you like it or not, Bu'er," The goddess of moon said with a look of determination in her face. "The are only two choices, wether we must engage first or vice versa."
Y/n then cupped her lover's cheek.
"It's inevitable, my love..."
The goddess of wisdom only looks at the goddess of the moon with a bittersweet smile.
"I understand your decision, my beloved. But I must stay true to my ideals and beliefs, even if it means you don't approve it; I must remain faithful to myself."
